  1. Let me get this straight. The pictures right above this post is still for TRS2006 right? If it is then I want to know where you got those trainsets and routes (other than the one you are creating) and also how to extract them onto the game. If I am bothering you, then I'm sorry, but I just wanted to know.

Well both sets of pictures(the ones at the beginning and the new ones) were in 06. We scrapped the first route, and I decided to start again and this is the product.Everything you see in the pics is avalible from TCR,or the DLS. This includes the Acela, some of the NJT Comet Cars,NJT ALP 46s,the Amtrak AEM-7s,and I do know there is a paintshed reskin of an alp 44 on the DLS.

The NJT arrows and 1B cab car have yet to be released as jaleel(original creator of the mesh) is still working possibly re-working them.....

  2. The R1, R40, and R62 can't be downloaded unless you had them before July as the creator has stopped membership on his site. Also the R36 is not payware. The payware cars mentioned before will be eventually released once the creator finished custom cabs for the cars. On the site Protrainz.com if you look around there is a guide to using the subway construction set, so once you get the hang of it, its easy to use.

Ya R36 in payware was a typo, sorry about that:rolleyes: It was meant to be R62.

And the payware cars will be EVENTUALLY freeware, however everything I have seen from magicland is slow to come about....

  3. Alrighty then!

I would suggest either Trainz 2004 or Trainz 2006,Trainz 2004 is supposidly more stable, but I think 06 is stable as long as you treat it right. There is a leraning curve with learning how to download and install downloads etc,in either version.

And as long as you download all the subway construction set,you can make an infinite amount of subway lines, this comes with a learning curve as well as to how to set up the tracks so they look correct and so that you dont have gaping holes in the roof.

For the subway cars themselves there is a lot on the main site that auran hosts called the download station. There are

    R12s

    R33 Redbirds

    Low-V work car

    R46 A-B overhauled

    R46 A-B

    R30A

    Lo-V

    R27

    R36 Worlds fair

    R32

    R17 (orange-red and green)

    R143

But if you are looking for some payware there is

    R1

    R36

    R40 Slant

There are some good fictional subway routes, but there really aren't any prototypical NYCTA subway routes....

  4. My CPU has more than enough power, just updated the graphics card, and it plays, but very jerky, as the CPU is downloading the scenery as you move forward. I'll be sticking with MSTS, and I don't know why TRAINZ Classics makers didn't create their games, compatible with MSTS requirements. I should not have to steal a CPU from NASA or the Pentagon to play a game. Geesh!

All you need to do is get a new graphics card,I have a Ge-Force 7600GS(maybe GTS) I forget, and it runs fine. Also you need 1Gig of ram or more(which by todays standards is nothing)
