The Doomsday bus!!!!

The camera that brought you deep-zoom images and sharp shots in my last photo thread "A Sunny Warm Day" was irreversibly damaged the day after. The screen chip that I replaced in August broke, AND the camera won't power on AT ALL no matter how fresh the battery is, AND the exposure button fell right off. SOOOOOO, it is scrapped.:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:
I am left with the canon, which I use for videos. It does take photos, but it has a mind of its own, with some random images looking good, but most of them come out with lines in it or the image is just plain white, as seen here. Also the good images (usually only taken with full 4x zoom) have ghosts in it.
The Panasonic (which was a hand-me-down from another transit fan) made it 8 months in my possession. Rust in Peace!
When and if I get a new camera (I don't care if it's compact or bulky), the following standards are:
1. 12x optical zoom or MORE
2. Optical zoom while filming video
3. Wide angle lens
4. HD video capabilities
5. Manual mode
6. .avi format video (preferred, but not necessary)
I am currently looking at the Nikon P100. (I can always still use the Canon for my "Da Moments" videos)
That is all for now.

lmao probably not but it's supposed to happen relatively soon, it's supposedly the right time for them too shift (could be happening now), it's natural.
But idk if it's a rapid change (potentially catastrophic) or a slow change.
oh DAMN!!!!!!!!

I can't wait till the poles shift, the equator is supposed to run through upstate NY through Baja California. NYC would most likely be tropical (as opposed to Desert) though. Be right below the equator, LA would be right above it.
You can't wait...but will you live to see that?

The MFL its a daily thing. Now for the BSS most of the platforms are long as nyct and those t/os always overshoot and I dont understand why. This one time this female t/o on the BSS let her friend in the cab and they was talking away like no tomorrow and next thing you know she overshot Cecil B. Moore by about 3 cars. She had to go BIE. When I got to Walnut Locust I said to her "people like you shouldnt be doing this kind of job". I could have been an a**hole and reported her.
I myself have never witnessed a Broad Street Subway operator overshoot a station.

Wow! At this moment the LIRR/MNRR forum and the MTA Press Releases forum both have 853 threads!

SEPTA's Market Frankford T/Os always back up their trains if they overshoot the platforms. Meybe it's just an MTA thing to illegalize that.

General Camera/Photography Discussion

I currently use a Nikon L120, and I love it, however, I would recommend Canon based on experiences with an awesome camera I used off and on from 2009-2011. I want an SX40 but my budget won't allow that.
My second choice would be Nikon. Fujifilms can be lemons. Try to avoid Fujifilms if possible.
