I am looking at the new Second Avenue Subway maps, and if I'm understanding correctly, the stations will be:

72nd St. (at 2nd)

55th St. (at 2nd)

This is a huge gap; the only station in the 60s will be, if I understand right, near the existing 63rd & Lex station.

Why won't the MTA add a station in the 60s, nearer 2nd Avenue?

I've seen M-8s on the Saturday 1:37 train from GCT to Stamford, and the Sunday 5:37 train from GCT to I think New Haven (or maybe Stamford).

Are these schedules fixed as always M-8s? Any other trains that definitely are?

I see from Railroad.net that there is supposedly a 9pm-ish departure from Grand Central tonight with the M-8s; do we have any ideas about when they'll be running this weekend?
