  1. I wonder how the CNG order would've been had LaGuardia stayed CNG and Nice was still under (MTA) control

Well, most likely, MTA Long Island bus would of keep their order of 3G CNGs (perhaps the MTA would of gave Bus company's cancelled order of 3Gs to Long Island bus as well, who knows). As for La Guardia, they might had some 100 and 200 series C40LFs. I honestly doubt that (MTA) Long Island bus of seen any C40LFs from the larger 475 CNG order.
  2. How do they plan on making up for those cars?

They going to fix those cars. MTA is not going to let 16 good cars go to waste. All they need to do is take out components, clean them up, put new wiring and resistors, oil it up and send them on thier way. You just don't get rid of expensive, money making equipment like that. If my engine flooded with water I get a new engine or rebiuld that engine.

Besides, it will be a while before the R179s and the R211s arrive. I doubt the MTA would want to risk a car shortage for a few years.
  3. Yes, they are running a couple of R42s on the C. Even though they're 8 car trains, T/Os have been instructed to make 10 car stops, so the C/R is on his/her indication board when properly berthed in the station. R42s have no door controls in the #1 cab, so C/R operating position is not in the middle, but 5/3.

Wow, this is getting crazy! I would love to see an R68/A on the A or C or even E!
