Does anyone know when the train operator test is coming out?

Great question because the last one was in 09. I just qualified day 7 for BO but I will take the the next train op test because their starting pay is a BO top pay.

Good luck to all taking this test take your time because they will hire from this test sooner then you may think I took 2613 in jan 2013 and I'm already in the 10 day training. There is only 3600 people eligible for hire from my test classes go in every two weeks and they are up  to 180 on the list already. The higher you score the earlier you will get the call. I was one of the last person to leave the test room when i took it but i was in the first group that got hired from the exam.

You doubt the exam # 4600 will have those specific questions on landmarks or landmarks in general?

 

 

Easier in what way? So they do or don't supply you with a map (hard copy of online) to use?

 

I'm also wondering, if this exam is to drive in Staten Island, Brooklyn, or Manhattan only (if I'm correct on that), am I to assume there would not be any questions on Queens or Bronx landmarks? Or perhaps they would based on the possiblity of getting lost and crossing into another borough. Hhmmmm...

There will be questions on landmarks wthin the city but most likely not the same landmarks questions from exam 2613.

When we took 2613 in jan they ask you questions like  which borough is prospect park is in?      which street is chelsea piers is closest to?  Things like that but I highly doudt it those questions be on this exam.

Thats great I never heard of the cinnamon thing before good info, but also a little jogging or physical activity wont hurt either.

Examination 3101 is for November 16

This thread is for examination is 4600 for December 14. I can see the confusion. Your right they may have a class for the 3101 exam. 

No class for 3101 just the BOSS exam on Nov 16

Hi everyone, I'm new here, but have been reading the posts for a while-   great resource for info, thanks to you all--   I took 2613 in Jan and the BOSS this summer- according to the proposed answer key for 2613, it looks like I scored 90%-   Should I file for 4600? Will it affect or interfere with the steps I've already taken?  p.s.  I've been driving access-a-ride for a few months now, as well--   any thoughts?

Trust me as bad as you want to take the test is just as bad they want your money. MTA think their slick by making the filing period for this exam Aug 7-27,the reason I say that is because all the people who took exam 2613 in jan have not recieved their scores yet we will get them in sept. So if you think you didnt do well or straight up failed or passed, the MTA want to keep people in the dark so they can apply for this test as well. I passed exam 2613 but I am still gonna apply for 4600 cause you never know.

APPLICATION  PAYMENT PROBLEMS:
We are aware of the issues that some customers experienced when paying the application fee for this exam online. An email was sent to all applicants who did not pay on March 14, 2013 instructing them how to submit payment.

I applied online for Bus Operator Exam 4600. I had my credit card ready, as instructed, before I started the application. The problem is I only have an American Express card which was not one of the accepted payment choices. I had to close out the application without paying the $61 fee. The next day I borrowed an acceptable credit card. However, when I log in to access my application my payment status is blank, but it gives me no option to pay. I also cannot reapply because the system shows there is already an application pending for my social security number. I was making phone calls for an hour yesterday until I finally reached the correct department. The woman who answered just kept saying "Don't worry, don't worry" and that I'd get a chance to pay with no mention of when or how (She was hard to understand as she spoke broken English). I am trying to give these people money and they don't seem to want it. Thanks.

This same problem happen to people on the other MTA exam and they did give you a chance to pay if you couldnt when you applied,if im not mistaken they posted the problem on their website. The only thing is you may have to wait until the filing period is over. You should try calling them back you will get someone you understand.

Any 1 have any idea on where to print this form instead of going to 180 livingston. I've tried Application for Examination on the forum but does not work. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
