  1. ugh, I'm going to have to email these MTA guys again to verify my mailing address. already did earlier this year and when I went to email them again today to verify, they said they just updated it to the new address now. that said, they did say the following:

Your address was updated.  For your information, the list for Conductor has not yet been established.  You should receive your letter of results in the mail within the next 6 to eight months.

  2. exam date 4/23 and I got 6 wrong =( crazy thing is I could have sworn I had everything right except two iffy ones and it turns out I got one of the iffy ones right and the other wrong. the two iffy ones for me were questions 30 and 62 and my key was as follows for the wrong ones.

    06. A

    11. B

    39. D

    56. A

    62. C

    80. A

can anyone confirm any of these could be protested?

  3. Like I stated earlier, after the exam has been given, the protest sessions will take place, in which the test takers, also known as all of us, will have an opportunity to state why our answer(s) are better than theirs, with the hope of either them throwing the question out, changing the proposed answer key, etc. After this happens, like 10 months to a year, a list will come out, with everyone's score and list number that got higher than a 70% score, which was needed just to pass the test.

Once the list comes out, and they start calling people, then we will have a better idea. However, just to answer your question, for argument's sake, we will use this list (again, argument sake). Click on "show" and the list will pop up.

You got a 95% score, therefore your list # can be anywhere from 1897 to 3226. Say, for example, they call 1,000 candidates per year. If this is true (which will not happen), if your list number is exactly 3,000, then you will get called in 3 years.

Say, for example, they call 400 candidates per year, and your list number is exactly 2,000. You will get called in 5 years.

Got it? Right now, we just have to be patient. If you need another idea, or sample, of a list, click here. Note that during the protest, they threw out a question or two, that's why the decimal places in this list are three digits, compared to one.

    Apology accepted.

for the protesting, do you have to be there to receive credit? so say we both had the same answer, but they marked it wrong. if you went to the protest session and they deemed your answer/reasoning was valid and gave you credit for that answer, would I also get it corrected if I don't go?

  4. took the exam yesterday in the AM and like most have said here, it was easy and did not require a calculator. looks like I'm not the only one that noticed the question with the possible two answers... I examined that question in multiple passes trying to figure out if there was a slight word I may have missed, but there was none. glad for the confirmation as that puts my mind to rest.

  5. I am in the same boat. I took the exam and got one wrong and took the BOSS evaluation back in October 2014.

At a minimum we'll probably have to wait two weeks for processing of the remainder of the BOSS exams to run them through scantron readers, account for people who didn't bubble in things like their names, SSN's or applicant ID's as well as the folks to put things into folders or scan things.

My suggestion, get the CDL permit ASAP and if possible your CDL-B/P license with air brakes.

Get all paperwork needed for the background check.

Keep an eye on the [Thread: Bus Operator Exam 2613 Questions] for what is going on in the current TA list, Exam (2)  (6)  (1)  (3) . I will post to see if anyone has an update.

Please see my recent post here on my analysis of everything so far with both 2613 and 4600.

In short, we'll have to continue waiting  <_< .

I had to go to the website to verify my answers to calculate my score... I thought I read somewhere that we should have received something in the mail notifying us of our results? Before proceeding with the CDL permit and CDL-B/P license w/air brakes, is there a way to find out how we did on the second exam? lastly, why do you suggest taking the CDL permit now? does it take that long to obtain?

  6. I got the call and e-mail about the BOSS exam, but haven't gotten the letter in the mail yet since that was sent to my parents' address... anyway, does anyone know if it's possible to take the BOSS exam on a different date given that I won't be in town that week or am I screwed?

  7. Oh that question....i had the same one. But i went by what the reading log stated by the rules. Personal days must be approved and sick days you need a dr note to be paid. Sent from my SGH-T989 using Tapatalk 2

Darn, guess that one got me...  figured it would be the "same" since you're calling out sick.  What you said regarding the rules does make more sense.

  8. Not sure if all the exams were the same across all the schools, but I fumbled on one question from the exam that dealt with MTA policies.  I believe the question asked whether or not a woman was going against policies by attending some personal matter and calling out the morning of.  Was she going against policies or was she following them?

  9. The questions are ALL multiple choice and you will be issued a map of Manhattan (which have landmarks and street's labeled) along with your bubble sheet at the exam. If you feel you want to become more familiar with the borough as well as where to locate landmarks on the map on your own just google the map itself or the nyc landmarks separately.

If you're issued a map of Manhattan at the exam, does that mean it's an "open book" exam?  Or would for example, the Manhattan bridge be pictured, but with no label?
