Did anyone else receive a letter in the mail yet after going in for the 2nd drug test?? (Former city agency personnel/Nyct Personnel only)

Im just sit back relaxing waiting on the 1 in 3 rule letter. I was disciplined but never fired and still currently employed by the TA as a bus operator. Needless to say from good friends in supervision i was advised to bring legal action if needed for retro active seniority and defamation of character. I was also told if youre currently employed in the TA under any divison(not civil service) and youre not terminated or hasnt or forced to resign,the TA cannot pass your list simply for conduct/attendence for open competitive exams but if its for promotional reasons they can and most likely will. Again civil service lawyer was contacted and in place if needed. Win/win situation.

Please some one help me out with this. my list is 667 I used to work for NYCTA as a bus operator didn't pass

my probation got called for conductor like 4 months later they did the 3 in 1 thing so in October they called me for track worker took drug test heard nothing till june. then

june 30 took drug test again and gave me the paper work to bring back when they send me the email to go in but I didn't hear anything so I called Robinson and they said yes your list number is up then she said hold on then she comes back and says I wont get a email I will get a letter in the mail does this mean I wont get the job why am I getting a mail paper instead of an email like everyone else.

I myself have to wait for a letter as well after being called for the job. Probation was extended for me but im still currently employed by the TA. They did go pass my list number and hired more track workers. This should be interesting. 1 more month of probation left to go.

Question : I have a close friend on this same exam list #41X and hes looking to reinstate his name back on the list,does anyone thinks he have a shot at making this class August 8, 2016 if not maybe the next class?? Hes currently a (OA)bus operator.

Just a quick question, and it might have been answered but when you are called for the physical is it through email? or a phone call? , i keep hearing different stories ( also a little worried , dont know if i put the right email)

When i reached the counter when leaving,the hiring manager asked me how do i wanted to be contacted by the transit authority and my response was phone only so he took the form and white out the email info i filled in. That email info i filled in was too outdated Lol. Im also in the #65X range as well. Did anyone else completed the 21 page booklet and ready for medical..??

Smh i thought the authority wouldve contacted people for the next class by now, Its like a race with a turtle and a snail.

I know the pain, i scored 100% and didnt expect to wait this long and still waiting on the next class... track dept must be great...

I really hope they start calling people off this list for the next class sometime soon. Im ready to give it a try...

Are any of the driving jobs specialty jobs with higher pay rate ?

I think most if not all specialty jobs of track division top pay is 34.50

Im asking for a friend on this same exact list. His list early #700's Does anyone have any idea what the highest list number will be reached in the next class. I know the last list number reached was 601....

not to nitpick here because i was told the same when i was obtaining my cdl, 3-5 secs on the mirror is a pet peeve for me. I usually follow instructions to the letter so if u say 3-5 ill do 3-5, when i was training for my cdl, 3-5 secs is what i tried doing. 3-5 u are barely focused on the road in front of you. that's 5760 glances at the mirror per 8 hour day. I always say, always check your mirrors frequently. 

 

Just curious how to time those red/yellow? I usually look at the pedestrian crossing sign as a gauge (if its white on the opposite side, I can go thru the intersection safely, if its blinking proceed to slow down in time to stop if necessary) but sometimes that fails as u might slow down to a stop on green n then try to make it thru n it starts changing for yellow to red. Is there any clues or tips? 

 

Get your nose dirty? U mean how to stay out of trouble? (lateness, absences or u meant drug use, stealing kinda stuff?

On this job you will learn to live in your mirrors and cover your right side the hard way especially if you pick into manhattan division. Timing lights isnt hard. Use the cross walks. Some lights change before others so look ahead at the next cross walk and see what its doing. Ex. 14,23,26,houston 124 manhattan those lights change while the cross walk is still white. So look ahead. As for getting your nose dirty it means to let part of your front bus bumper cover the curb without actually hitting the curb when making turns.

Most people fail because they dont scan their mirrors every 3-5 seconds,not calling out hazards,not properly setting up and executing their turns,not observing /watching for supt leaving their hands in closing doors,not dropping the kneeler in bus stops,going thru yellow lights (Yellow /Red) Same AT ZEREGA !!!! Last but not least,not knowing the true meaning or how to get your nose dirty. Bus ops language..

Bus Operator.I have one year to try that job title if i dont like track worker im coming back to buses.

Most of us are already employed by the transit authority for other job titles. Atleast i know quite a few of us on this same exact list.

Can one of you guys in this class record the highest list number sworn in please.

640 - 680 's class for us should be around june/July according to a (GS) General Supt. Ive known for years. this list is moving extra slow but no need for worries..

Most of the time they go past 100. Failed drug tests, background history,and people whom currently employed by transit turning down the job etc... this list could touch in the low 2,000's. But again this list is moving at a turtle/snail pace. Drug test date Oct.5 so my 90 days was up jan.5 and i still have the 21 page booklet.

Undecided if i want to take a pay cut to leave surface to work in the subways and working 6 years for top,just not happening when im already locked up in tier 6. Im currently under 5 years top pay. I also have the 21 page booklet filled out (Oct. 5)but really unsure about the job. I want to join the track team but on the fleet division(surface) not in the tunnels. Lets see how this plays out.

The weather starting to become chilly and im expecting alot of senior people to start banging out so this list should start back moving very soon. (Shovel×Snow-SeniorGuys)=Rookies...

Im on this exam as well. Im already employed with transit (OA) not really a difference. We cant work in staten island or queens only TA. Im trying to work in queens,but im fine with mabstoa. Same pay rate. 22.25 plus night differential and overtime.

Since ive been working for NYCT im loving it honestly,yes im waiting for track worker for various reasons,and yes this list is moving incredibly slow (650's range) but im happy that im employed already. Getting ready for picks next month. Hope to see alot of you guys soon in those tunnels.

This 21 page booklet isnt easy at all.

180 livingston monday oct.5 at 730 for trackworker.(pre-employement) List 650-660. Problem is im already employed by transit for another position.
