  2. You're welcome. I'm so happy for you...

The last two pages are for the pre-trip inspection (both interior & exterior), there's also a page for what street takes what type of turn. Just remember to keep an eye on your pivot point (rear tires) and don't be afraid to stay fat!!

    thanks very much

  3. hey does anyone have a handout for the inspection of the bus and also info on what street takes what turn from what I'm hearing the most stressful part of the training is knowing what turn to make for each turn and the bus not hitting the curb

  4. I'm going to do the same thing in early 2019, so you're not alone.

The easiest way to do this is to send an e-mail to certificationunit@dcas.nyc.gov asking them to be restored to the list. According to this post, your name will be restored within the same week.

Once that's done I would call Livingston Street - 347-643-8229/30/31/32 and ask them when you can come in for a drug test. If you get an answering machine, hang up. Usually they call "batches" of people and when I was there last Friday, they said that the upcoming classes for B/O 4600 are full. Therefore, just be patient, your time will come.

Also, you can check your abstract via MyDMV to clarify whether your suspension is off or not. If it's still on, has it been three years since the date it was initially suspended? The reason why I'm asking is because they will run your abstract before they let you take a drug test (trust me).

If you're unsure of this answer, let me give you a scenario of mine: There are two accidents on my abstract, one is June of 2014 & the other one is January of 2015. Now last time I ran my abstract via MyDMV, which was last week, two accidents still showed up, however technically there's only "one" accident, since they only examine those accidents within three [3] years.

Got it? If not, feel free to ask...that's why we're here to begin with...

ok but they saying I don't have to wait the 3 years now because they are saying they don't check old suspensions anymore

  5. hey guys I need your help ok here it is in November I was called in for 4600 to do drug test and medical when I got there after waiting for a couple of hours the lady at the desk checks my driver's license and says to me oh you had a suspension in oct 2014 and can't work for us till oct 2017 because you can't have a suspension within 3 years so then I was crushed and went back to my hospital job then today I call in to transit employment just to ask some questions like in october how should I reinstate my name so the guy on the phone says to me what was you denied for last time I said I had a old suspension he said go to dcas and sign yourself on asap because we don't check for suspension anymore as long as license is good in the present....I said when did you start this he said early early this year, now why wouldn't they send out letters saying this smh now I need your help to reinstate my name

  6. I had to pay a fine in yonkers for a parking violation and I paid it late so they suspended my license and I paid it after 4 days of my license being suspended but unfortunately transit is making me wait, I don't know how that gentleman got away with it

  7. Hey everyone I haven't posted in awhile I was kind of upset but I'm over it I got called to come in for bus operator for 4600 back in November 2016 I was all ready to go and when I got there after hours of waiting I was told my license is perfect I have my cdl, no points, no accidents, but one thing is preventing you from working with us now and that's you had a suspension from yonkers in oct, 2014 that lasted a week and even though your license is good now we have to wait until 3 years after that suspension which is oct 2017, so I'm patiently waiting guys, I also took the train operator exam last week so we'll see

  8. they are going to deny you with a pending ticket now once the ticket isn't pending it doesn't matter if you have a ticket on your abstract as long as the ticket doesn't go over a certain amount of points or that your license is not suspended from it

yeah I didn't expect everything to happen so soon either but congrats to you I'll be in there in October God willing

  9. so I went in last week so excited about starting the next class when bam after waiting for 4 hours to get seen they stated my license was suspended for three days in September of 2014 and would have to wait till September 2017 to join them smh I guess I'll just have to stay where I'm at a lil longer

  10. I received my letter yesterday to go to take my drug test my list number 14xx so this thing is really moving along I just have a question how long does it go from drug test to medical and from medical to training and what happens other than the drug test at drug test day, thanks in advance

  11. I spoke to a live agent at the employment number and my number is in the early 1000's

I'm so confused with what number they are up to with employment when I called earlier they said five and change and  when I just called employment just now they are saying 850 I don't know if its whoever answer the phone or what

  12. Hey I have a question how is it when you call the employment line they say they hired up to 567 people, when I know they have people in the 800's in training, Is it that they are behind, because what happened to the people in the 6 and 7 hundreds  or is it a process after training to get hired

  13. Think of it this way. They started calling the first class back in march 2016. It's now sept 2016 and it's already at 82x. While at livingston I spoke to alot of drivers on the job, and alot of them are retiring mostly due to health isues. As someone had previously posted (my apologies can't remember who it was) alot of people on the list get disqualified from livingston for background check, medical, no permit or issues with drivers license) so anticipate maybe 1 year or less. Just make sure you keep your license clean.

Advice: when they do start the process they won't give you alot of notice. You get the letter the same week you have to report to livingston. So make sure you always have a sick day or personal day at your current job. I won't have time to give my current employer 2 weeks notice. I am using vaction and sick time to go tru training and make sure I make it pass. Then I'll have to resign immediately. But better that, then not have a job afterwards.

    GOOD LUCK to all.

I have my permit but I'm now working on my cdl license because reading the posts about training is scaring me

Thanks for letting me know because when I called they told me they hired like 527 but I saw that people in the 800's were getting called. I guess they were just giving me the official number for those officially hired my number is #1500's I wonder how long it will take
