Some of you on the forum have discussed sending the to lefferts and the to Far Rockaway. Wouldn't that cause delays with interlining after Euclid?

In the case of the and i meant Gun Hill.

This is a proposal for cross-Bronx service with the Pelham Express and the Pelham Local and the servicing Fordham Road. The alignment could probably be improved, though. Any suggestions would have appreciated.

Is it just me, or are R46 brakes generally quieter/less screechy than the other cartypes?

Would it be possible to design ADA-accessible gap fillers?

May I request:
R46 LCD
(P) Far Rockaway
Nostrand Exp
via HammelsAnd if you can't do it as the LCD could you do it as an R160 exterior side sign?

You cant have separate A and B Division platforms on the same track, because the B Division trains are just going to smash into the A Division platform on the side. Gap fillers also do not work as a solution, because they are not ADA accessible, but all new government construction must meet ADA standards.
Could you use gauntlet track? Have A Division trains stop closer to the platform and merge the gauntlet tracks after the station.

The extension has rather wide bench walls. Would it be possible to join the bench walls through the tunnel wall and make even a narrow island platform?

Can you do R46 signs?

It's not impossible or unheard of; places like Amsterdam or Bangkok have naturally high water tables but have been building subways as well.
You're right. It's not impossible. What i'm saying is that it would probably cost more and require extra work, and i believe that such a sealing project would end up like the extension, especilly the incline elevators.

Extending any subway line to Kings plaza would most likely have to be done as an el because of the water table. If you build it as subway, you will have issues like Line 14 of the Paris Metro. That said, a streetcar would make the B44 SBS redundant and probably raise lots of NIMBY opposition over traffic and loss of parking spaces.
If the Nostrand Avenue Line is extended to Kings Plaza, building modern streetcar lines on Utica Avenue and Nostrand Avenue would be a better option since it costs less to build a streetcar line than to build a subway line.

Does anyone here find the R160 announcement for Nostrand Avenue rather jarring?

Fubar means the system was not working properly.
ok. thanks.

what does FUBAR mean?
Also, is it frequent that when the goes CPW local, it goes local to canal when the MTA website says local to 59th??

is rerouted to the between 145 St and 205 St stations.
via Nassau St to Bay Pkwy station

Yup. And A trains were running local between Utica and 59th.Yep we have a derailment on the at Hoyt-Schermerhorn as we speak.

What if the West 4 Street, DeKalb Avenue, and Atlantic Avenue stations all had a power loss on all tracks?

This set up is gonna mess up the uptown , not to mention that the trains would have to wait for every other uptown to pass Brighton just for it to use it's terminal.
Would it be possible to streamline that design? Also, if the Brighton line got CBTC, would it be any more feasible?

Just an idea for changing the Brighton Beach terminal to reduce passenger confusion. One island platform would be used for termination, and the other for through trains. The drawbacks, though, are the amount of switching and the fact that a new switches may need to be installed East of Ocean Pkwy on the Q.

If the trains in the subway were to be made driverless, would that enable the creation of longer routes?
