if you have sleep apnea transit requires you to get a CPAP machine. It helps with your breathing at night by maintaining poisitive air pressure through your nose

How do they even know you have sleep apnea? Unless you admit to having sleeping disorder?

You can protest the questions with more than one right answers.

How does that work? I know there's a date noted when you can go and protest the question. Like do they go over every question asking if any objective the answer?

  3. Just took the test today. The only slight complain I have about the test is right after the time was up during the memorize portion of the test we had to wait about 5 minutes afterwards before we could start answering those questions. The test proctor took her time collecting the images we had to memorize and then wait until she was given the the queue to hand out the questions so we could start answering them. Wish we could just flip to the questions after the time was up and just put those images aside so the proctor could collect them while we started answering the questions. But besides that the test was very easy. A few questions seemed a bit tricky with either answer being right but i guess one answer was more correct that then other. Either way, can't wait for the proposed answer to see how I scored in the memorized portion of the test.

Hello. Took the station agent test in nov 2015. This is my first time Responding to this. I Done my pre employment on 9/22 did everything. This was a Friday. I received a call back the following Monday to come in on Tuesday. I did final processing but I need to Know is B813 Station Agent AFC 01-F is a temporary position or its it just for the probationary period of 1 year. Because I noticed it stated Temporary Appointment.

My list number is in the 30’s. I need assistance in figuring the assignment out.

How do you know your list number? They haven't established it yet from what I know.

  5. The last conductor exam had 75 questions. I scored a 97.3 on that exam and I waited nearly 5 years for the mta to get to my list number. As far as becoming a train operator goes, what you could do is take the next open competitive train operator exam and switch from conductor to train operator once you pass your probation as a conductor. The filing period for the next train operator exam starts on June 3rd.

  6. NYC Transit Station Agent, Exam No. 6600 (UPDATED)

The multiple-choice test for candidates who were never scheduled is scheduled to be held on February 6, 2016. Such candidates should receive their admission letter by January 26, 2016. If you do not receive an admission letter by February 2, 2016, you mustcome to the MTA Exam Information Center located in the Lobby of 180 Livingston Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201 between the hours of 9 AM – 3 PM, Mondays through Fridays. Seeing that update just annoyed me. How did they not scheduled everyone smdh. Now we will most likely have to wait much longer just to get our scores and for them to establish the list. MTA have to do better. Now with that being said its only fair that those ppl get a fair shot, but should've been scheduled in December too. Now I'm just wondering if the proposed answers key will be released tomorrow Jan 21 as stated.

Yes I've noticed that as well! Hopefully they do post the answer key tomorrow.been waiting all month.

  7. I took the test last Sunday and I am fairly confident I did well. This is my first time applying for anything with the MTA. My question is what happens now? I know the answer key comes out he end of January, but how long before they start calling people?

I am aware of the physical and the background check which I am not worried about. But should I be expecting a long wait before they start calling people or am I only looking at a couple months?

Well I heard it takes up to a year for the mta to send us our official scores. So they might start calling people somewhere between fall of 2016 and early 2017. But I hope it's earlier than that.

  8. No sweetie I took my test Nov 22th and it WAS 60 questions. When did you take yours?

. Thank you! It was 60 this year

Oh my bad you're right! I just looked at my test answers and it was 60 lol my bad. Seemed like 80 to me haha

I also had 60 questions on my test. All an all the test was easy but there were a few tricky questions, I can't wait to see my results, I'm also taking the conductors test next year, trying to widen my odds of getting into the mta. I took the track worker test but I was in the 3xxx region, and the way the list is progressing has me a bit worried, so I'm weighting all my options to try and get in. Good luck too all.

Yeah I'm taking the conductor exam in April of next year as well! I would prefer to get the conductor Job. It pays more. And can be promoted to train conductor in the future if you wish.

  9. Yeah I put my answers in the separate sheet. I think the map questions were easy. They were just time consuming.

In the reading part they had some trick questions which I wasn't sure if I was right or wrong. Kind of annoyed me with those trick questions.

  10. How was the exam? I thought the exam wasn't bad. Seemed a bit easy with some trick questions. The map questions seemed A bit hard at first. But once you can pin point the place they're asking in the question it's easy. Not hard hard but out of the whole test that's basically were I had to do some thinking. Maybe because I don't live or commute to Brooklyn at all that's why I maybe found it a bit harder than people that live here. Since the map part of the test had only the Brooklyn section of the train map.
