  1. I did. Loved his training style. Exactly the way I wanted to go through training with the MTA. No yelling making you nervous like a drill sergeant but tells you like it is. Had four guys on our bus and he told us from day 1, we're all family here. Everyone on our bus was encouraging each other to try to get it done in seven days. Two of the four qualified on day seven. Would've been three but one guy made avoidable mistakes because he was nervous. He's a good driver so I'm sure he'll pull it together for day 9. Nothing but good things to say about Supt. Goddard from my experience.

Sounds like I wish I had him from day 1

  4. You have to get there before 5:30am ( 5 am is your best time). If you are any later you won't find anything. Once you make a right or left of the highway on to zerega heading towards sanitation you can find a spot. There is closer spots but honestly once you are there you can walk 2-3 blocks instead of gambling to find a closer spot.

  5. Everyone has to wait until day 10 to see if anyone else needs to qualify.

Day 11 is GI(Genreal Information) Day @ zerega. If you have a choice to pick a depot it would be on this day, ifnt no pick, they wI'll just tell you where to report to.

Day 12 is Union Day in Brooklyn.

Day 13 you report to your depot. (If you still need a road test date, you would be assigned a depot on a day to day basis with a superintendent until your road test date.

If you qualify on day 7 do you have to report on day 8-10 and is it 10 straight days?

  7. For NYC Transit: Queens Village. For MTA Bus Company, it depends on where you live...LaGuardia if you're coming from the Northern part of Nassau/Suffolk, JFK or Far Rockaway if you're coming from the Southern part. If you click here, you'll see all of the depots and their addresses.

It depends on what exam you initially filed for...exam 4600 was for NYC Transit, exam 3101 and exam 4105 was for MaBSTOA.

As far as attire, the first time I went down there, I knew it was for the drug test, so I wore blue jeans. The second and third time I went down there, I wore black jeans, a black sweater and a yellow dress shirt with the collar sticking out. As far as the extended time, if you pass medical, they will do your final processing the same day, and you're not allowed to leave the building, that's why they say "extended period of time." As far as the prescription, I would get a letter just to have yourself covered.

The first two paragraphs of this page explains the difference. Also, TA is civil service, for MaBSTOA and MTA Bus Company, you just take the BOSS test and you get a random list #.

Thanks young how did they contact you for the second appointment?

  8. Currently I'm in the process of filling out the paperwork packet they sent out with the letter. I have a very silly question, the letter states Business Casual, so guessing no jeans? Lol have to look for my slacks that haven't worn in years. I have everything in order and planning on getting there bright and early, time for bed. Also the letter states to expect be there for an extended period of time, and medical testing might happen. Also do I need a letter from my Doctor saying the prescription I am taking or do I present the bottle? Thanks. SO excited!

Don't sweat it look neat I went in suit pants and dress shirt and tie and there where people in jeans work boots and pants down to their ass just look neat
