Any fellow 9604 exam takers or exp people, 

If someone moved and doesn't have access to their old address' mailbox, and they work a 9 to 5 in  Queens where it won't be possible to get to Livingston in Brooklyn before the closing office hours, are there any alternatives that he/she could do?

I not only hate passing by a LIRR train because it reminds me of how I failed the second portion of the test, but I also have a profound new respect for every RR conductor outside the city. 

Maybe next time, maybe not- congrats to everyone that made it that day, study hard!! =D

Last question because.. I'm annoying like that =). 

How strict is that credit check? If anyone has any insight.. I don't think I'm going to make it through the credit check because I may have a account in collect.

Follow this link for the thread and it is post #201 that will provide the information that I used to "study" for the T/O #7604 test. Like everyone else had stated before though, it was reading comprehension mostly. I did not use the green Passbook though. As someone else stated in the thread: "Not only that those books just have a series of questions with outdated terms, with the answers in the back of the book. But they don't explain to you why they're right or wrong. So that doesn't help you in the least bit. Because they don't explain any policies or procedures. Plus they questions they ask are far harder than any questions ions they'll ever ask on the exam itself".

Can you elaborate on why you do not think that it is random? If you think about it, it must be some sort of a random-number-assignment the way they hand them out.

There's no way this crap is random. It strikes me as odd that people with certain last names have list numbers that precede 1600 and yet there are people like me who pay the fee and sigb up early but dont have squat to show for it. What a joke.

I feel like the universe is against me in these mta "random list numbers".

For the traffic checker I applied as soon as the registration opened up and got somewhere in the high 3000s. For this exam same deal... lol

Hi. I'm currently waiting for 6601 (conductor) list to be established. I'm also registered to take this exam and exam 7300.

I paid but never showed up for exam 4600 and kind of regret it.

I usually take the bus at night and talk to a few operators, some from Mabstoa, mta bus, or by nyct

The Mabstoa operators say they have a shortage of drivers, while some other (mta bus) say they aren't, and that it could be a while for me to get called 2-3 years.

They also recommend I take my cdl permit now. I'd it true that there is mediocre demand for drivers
