I talked to ms. Vargas (person in charge of hiring train operators) earlier, she said the July class will only have 40 people and August 12th is likely to have 60

What time did you call? its nearly impossible to catch her..

What number are they up to on this exam

I want to say they're in the 200-300 range based off the stuff I see on here.

*as far as medicals not sure about preemployment though

Nice...well at least we know why...this should bump my number from 1600’s to 8-900’s

    Good luck 🙏

With only 1 wrong you should have been called already. Your list number should be in the low 100s. 4 wrong should some well below 1000 and I thought I saw someone with 800s being called already which should be about 3 wrong.

But they’ve called you for preemployment already though right?

Yeah I went to preemployment. Just haven't gotten the email for medical yet.

Hey..I took my exam 5/21..the pm session. I noticed that my score was a 91.6 (5wrong) but on my answer key I had a 93.3 (4 wrong). I sent a letter to appeal my exam. Called mta today and I was told that there was a problem with that sessions grading. Question number 42/43 I think. So they’ll re grade the exams from that session and everyone will get new letters from that session.

Awesome I'm part of that session. I had no wrong answers so I also sent an appeal. Thanks for the info!

June 4th is a conductors class. She said yesterday July 9th is the only class set in stone but they are working on an august class

With there being 60 per class it might be a while before we start getting these medical emails.

Good question. I know for bus operator  you can't have more than 4 points but for TO it simply states valid license. Maybe someone else can clarify if they look at points as well.

Points aren't a problem if the ticket is paid. if its open it is a problem

Thank God, got my start date for next week. Went on medical hold during the interview process because I reported I occasionally snore, so I had to get test results from a sleep study my doctor did last year to get off the hold. Once I came back in with the proof I dont have sleep apnea, they sat me and offered me my start date. Took my ID photo, did the fingerprint and I was out with my new employee handbooks. By the way, I never received a CALL BACK for the medical, I received an email only, so look in your emails and junk folders, I dont think they have time to make phone calls right now.

Congrats! Is this for the 5/29 or 6/4

to add onto things, I got a moving violation ticket a few months back (3pts) failure to yield, this is my first ticket and points for over 10+ years of having a license. I plead guilty and paid the ticket, would anyone know if thatll cause any issues?

As long as its paid nothing pending you will be fine. If you have something open that will be a problem.

    Point reduction courses won’t help.

You're right. Just called in they said the course won't help but the points only matter if you're applying for B/O. Now I don't know what to do. Guess I will just go in and play my luck.

You cant have more than 4.. however Dmv updates their system every Jan 1. Hope that u have something coming off at the beginning of next yr the earliest so u can have a shot.

Thanks. I will call in tomorrow (MTA) and see if a point reduction course can save me at this point bringing me down to just 1 point. The violation happened this past October and would not clear until another four years. Sucks. But its life.
