I wouldn't give up hope until the list fully expires. I did my medical just about a year ago and still waiting to be called again. Had to get my # restore on the list and like Harlem said, they really are taking forever calling ppl from the new certified list.

The issue is that mta is not requesting a new list from dcas. All the people who have now restored our names are waiting for them to contact dcas. Idk why its taking them so long

Does anyone know when this list might be certified again? It hasn't been since March. Seems like many people have added their names back since then but we haven't heard anything. Seven months is a long time.

This is my same issue. Idk why they havent reached out to dcas for a new list. I have restored my name and now have to wait due to them not requesting a new list

I sent an email to NYCT EMPLOYMENT CENTER. So far the last number they appointed so far is 4258, and so far they canvassed up to 4887. The list is scheduled to expire next year September, giving a date of 9/19/2023, incase this information puts some people at ease for the moment. My list number is in the 51XX. So continue to have faith guys. There’s still a chance.

Where did you hear  that the list expires 2023? Im seeing the list expires 9/19/2022

    It's not even an interview...

Step 1) take exam pass with a good score get called for the drug test pee in a cup, takes 2 to 3 days for results to come back.

Step 2) medical; they want to make sure you're healthy enough to do the job safely. EKG, vision, weight and height, bmi, hearing, color blind test, and making sure you don't have sleep apnea. You'll answer questions on a computer and paper.

Step 3) you're qualified hooray! Fingerprints get taken and sit back outside, a person will then call you into a room and hand you the rules and regulations book, go over the hourly pay, and hand you a paper to order your boots and where and what time to report for the first day of class. Then get sworn in and now you're part of NYCT, all you gotta do now is get through 9 months of training if you're in the B division or 6 months of training if you're in the A division.

In summary this isn't an interview style hiring process, but a very long process and of course repetitive but in the end it'll all pay off.

Thanks for the information. What if I have a bad driving record? One dwi one reckless  driving. But my license has now been clean for 5 years.
