Did anyone complete the appeal form for the driver license/ permit requirement?

I did I sent it out it said " I did not indicate if i had one" so I sent my drivers license since I no longer have my permit with the date on it. Now its just a waiting game totally upset this pushed back a few of our process.

If I submitted my appeal, do you think I can call and get my score/rank or I need to wait for the appeal to be approved?

No im upset they can't give us our scores or listing number because we was dq'd they stated after the appeal get a granted then we will be available to receive our score and rank.

As I stated before I pleaded my case. Filled in the blanks. I stated all the reasons why there was a discrepancy. I went on for 40 days and 40 nights in the empty box below. It was almost like I was begging. :(

Same here pleaded for a mistake on my part or there's not to let it hinder my opportunity. I really gave em my all . I hope this best please stay in touch so we both can give each other results on our appeals best of luck to you .

Double check, because MTA is jumpy like that. They will say one thing at application time and go with another later down the line. When I took the Dispatcher exam, the NOE stated that we weren't allowed to use calculators on the test. The test got postponed and our new admission letters stated that we could use them (thought they just used a template from other exams and didn't change it) and we winded up being able to use them.

Thanks man really appreciate your help hopefully things will turn out to be the best thanks .

The NOE stated that you needed to be licensed. Just having a permit does not fulfill this requirement. Sorry.

I just checked and you two are correct it states license . but on my letter it states drivers license or permit on Monday I will call to double check and still appeal the process and hopefully things go well.

I’m sure if you get a copy of your drivers abstract from the DMV it will show that. But, the NOE says license, not permit. I hope I’m wrong, best of luck.

I'm hoping so to I'm going to look back at the exam requirements thanks for your feedback.

You needed a license by the final day of the exam filing period.

You needed to have a drivers license or permit by the exam filing period yes . I had a permit by the time they call you you have to have a license I now have my license . my question is my license shows Sept 17 as issue date but I had my permit since 2015 idk how to prove so .

I think it said I did not indicate.... in the appeal I told them when I got it though.

Ok because that just mean like we didnt check off drivers license or permit or didn't tell them we did have one .... I had my permit at the time license now ... Hopefully they don't assume I just got my license on the date it shows on my I'd .

Yeah I got disqualified as well for the same thing but they highlighted that I did not have a permit or license. I quickly wrote an appeal and explained the reasons why. I pled.  I sent it in express mail Friday and it reached yesterday. If I am denied again, I am waltzing down to 180 Livingston since im only half hour away.

Did they say you didn't or did they say "YOU DID JOT INDICATE THAT YOU POSSESS THE REQUIRING LICENSE AND OR PERMIT" sorry for caps but mine said I did not indicate which I did amd I don't have a license with a date before then I have a new license due to me losing my old I'd .

Hey guys, I got my letter in the mail last week saying I was disqualified for not having the work experience required but have been working for years now. Looks like a lot of people got disqualified who shouldn’t have been, I’m assuming that may be why the list seems so short this time? I mailed out the appeal form, anyone know how long it may take to hear back? Really hoping I could get on this list. Good luck to everyone by the way

Male sure you filled it out correct and I had the same issue except they claimed I did not indicate if i had a permit or drivers license so I been calling last week everyday ... They say it could take up to 6 months for you to hear back on your appeal smh this hinders our process where we might have been called but this pushed us back drastically.

Cool but is it every 2 weeks no matter what or is it 1st and 15th? That's a difference of 2 checks a year. Trying to do some math as far as my income before and after.

Every 2 weeks .... Some months my mom gets 2 checks so she gets 3 checks that's because the 2 week cycle ... My uncle the same he's a bus operator.

I hear you, but after I accept this job I'm not going to be able to spend time with my family. You can always make more money but you can't make more time. If i can delay the start I definitely will and if I can't then I'll just have them put me back on the list and wait a little longer.

Your a real man and I appreciate people like you .... I fully understand I was speaking from my point of view .... I have faith they will allow you to push it back best wishes to on and congrats I hope you all the best .

But.... BUT. I'm suppose to come in for pre-employment in the middle of my vacation week and I'll be 6 time zones away on the 7th. Yay 😑😑

I completely understand a lot of you guys have vacations you have plans but come on man this a opportunity that I wouldn't put to the side.... I need to appeal a mistake that was made and didn't even get my list number I would've left Africa on a boat just to attend ..... No bashing just I'm upset with myself for forgetting to put permit on my application.

  14. 7 minutes ago, Jeytrain said:

For the people getting disqualification letters...did you attend preemployment? Or were these the only letters you received?

This is the only letter and it states therefore you will not be permitted to participate further. No test results nothing just a dq.

Send them a copy of your license and the copy of high school diploma. It should indicate on letter how to appeal. My friend got the same letter. He mail them with the above documents that I mentioned

Thank you appreciate your reply . I looked online for the appeal instructions and it states not to send any documents with the appeal letter.

Hi. I received a letter to submit my information of full-time satisfactory work experience. However, it doesn't state anywhere what is considered satisfactory work experience. Is it any work or is there a specific type of work experience that they are looking for?

    Thank you!

Basically they want 1 year full time with 1 employer before December2016 .... If you type may exam appeal and download the form you will see it as the first box and all you would need to do is put down your experience then send the appeal back to 180 Livingston street but be cautious it may take up to 6 months for them to send you back a answer.

BTW CAN ANY1 PLEASE HELP ME WITH MY QUESTION THANKS

  17. Can someone help me I received a letter stating "you were not found qualified because: YOU DID NOT INDICATE THAT YOU POSSESS THE REQUIRED LICENSE AND OR PERMIT FOR THIS EXAM." please I don't understand what to appeal I had my permit and I remember putting my license is number and everything but they say I did not indicate it what to do help please. I do not want this to hinder my process I believe I got 5 wrong. On my proposed sheet.
