My PE exam is coming up and I wanted to know if I automatically get a promotion after getting the PE. I was told you needed to let your manager, and union know. If so is it a direct vertical promotion (TRTS 2 -> TRTS 3/Engineer 2) or is it a lateral move with a pay bump. (TRTS 2 -> Engineer 1)
