  1. Just got a call from Hr and was told they are still reviewing my application. Is this a good sign or not? I did attend the open house on 2/29 and passed the cognitive and did the orientation as well. Only thing is at the current moment I am working for New York City Transit bus operator.  Any indication if I’m heading in the right direction or not ?

Anyone who went to the open house yesterday think we'll get called for next Saturday? Lady said she's recommending me to move on and with the time line it looks like quite the time crunch for an agency that usually moves at a snails pace... Looking forward to hearing others' experiences... Hopefully the call comes quickly.

I attended the 22nd and passed as well but didn’t hear anything yet.. keep posted if you are invited to the next S&D class. Best of luck

I don’t know. They probably will look into your past or they probably won’t. I don’t mean to get into your business but I hope there was a reasonable explanation for your poor attendance. Reporting for jobs at the RR are on a different level from Transit. Your first year will not be easy.

I’m aware but I’m a B/O they hammer us with trips, mta has a strict attendance policy all around, 5 instances in 1 year & your on sick control & they don’t let use take days off unless it’s 90 days in advance, do you think I should notify lirr during my orientation interview ? On the application it says give attendance & discipline records “ at your earliest convience “?

    When did you apply?

Many times but the job id for the one referenced in the email invite is 93100, in which I applied for in mid April, that was actually my first application for the L/E position.

Basically imo for anyone out there if your interested in working for MNRR or LIRR, you must meet those specific qualifications and having college credits or a degree is a major bonus in getting your foot in the door.

This is my second invite between MNRR & LIRR in less than a year.
