I also will be in the Feb 21st class...Wanted to know how we are to dress on the first day for Conductor Introduction?

If you can get blue shirt like the mta bus driver wear don’t have to be exact

pants should be navy blue like the cop pants

black boots if you didn’t get your safgard boots in time

    thanks everyone.

Yeah. I just... I've worked so hard to get to this point it's not funny.

I have actually  lost a good 40-50 pounds since September, to the point my neck is now UNDER the sleep apnea measurement threshold. I actually have it due to a congenial issue with the size of the opening in my throat.

I just didn't want to screw up.

If they don’t ask don’t mention

    that how I move

My official start day is the 21st. I was able to order my boots and they took one day to arrive. They ship with UPS and require a signature on delivery. If you have UPS my choice you can request the package to be left without signature. The site is SAFGARD.COM. The employee information should be on the packet you were given with reporting instructions for first and second day. I believe I was told to wait three days after being initially sworn before ordering the shoes.

Did you upload the  vaccination card and it work too?

just as I seen your post I try safgard and it work but the vaccination card site still unable I guess you gotta wait until official employment

I was told by employment that your employee ID aka BSC will only work on your official start day that when your consider a Transit employee

Anytime you do pre-employment (drug testing) and you do not get called for medical within 90 days, you have to do it all over again when they contact you again. They canvass tons of people for a limited number of spots in case people, for whatever reason, do not show up. If people with a lower list number than yours fills up a class(es) then you go back to the beginning next time and start the process all over again.

Drug testing aka urine lab there’s always people there because they have to drug test employees too and that only last 30 days

pre-employment canvass last 90 days, so if your list number haven’t been called for medical and your canvass expired you would need to redo it and they need to update it to the system

    that the only way

To me it’s feel like I’m on medical hold when I won’t need to

Hey guys, I hope everything is going well for everyone 🙏  I wanted to ask for some advice on what to do, anything is greatly appreciated. I recieved an email back in October of 2021 for a canvassing appointment but I didn't notice it until last week. I was out with a fractured leg that'll literally be mostly healed  by the end of the month. I emailed RTOemployment operations already along with the person who initially sent the email. When I check online on the civil service site, it says my name is good till next year and the number says "you're on the list". No one has emailed me back, and I really don't want to miss this opportunity. How do I reschedule a canvass appointment? Will they re extend an offer?

    email LMA to be Reinstated

    email Olha to be Reschedule

    with list number

    name

Once you get hired by these folk you are going to find out how much they are more concerned about you coming to work..

Than what goes on in your life outside of work...

I went to the office today

there was mixture of cleaners and conductor also Medical’s

    Long story short

they toke my application and said they would give it to hiring manager

how they going to process me without documents

    this place a shyt hole

but it’s how all city job operates I was told

I was surprised they told you to come in today at all. Unfortunately, HR aren't going to give up their weekend, but the people doing the drug test will always be there for incident testing and randoms.

    I was surprised too

i got two job and work 6 days a week to make end meets and I had to call out From work

everyone don’t live with there parents

you can’t schedule people to come in after waiting for so long and not able to do the whole process

everyone got bills, children, Responsibility Etc

  13. I went in today for second lab

since mine expired from 90 days

employment aka admins wasn’t there to collect paper work

only people there was medical admins  and urine lab

security didn’t even know what he was doing

there’s was two type of list medical and pre-employment list

security only had pre-employment list and wasn’t letting anyone who was for medical inside

telling them to come back Monday because they wasn’t in the list to enter the building

this got be a joke how mta running employment process and crying for that they don’t have enough workers

all I did was urine which one of the guy told me it’s only last 30 days

I'll wait for the full three month mark, because it was like the 23 or something. Then if not I'll contact them, I've written emails to them (emails from the first pre-employment email) but no one even replies to me.

Just got a called to report for second lab

    on Saturday. 9:30am

    list 42x

i guess what I’m doing working

This waiting is getting to me 😓, did my pre employment since November and still haven't heard anything for medical. Yet there's a shortage of employees.

Most likely what happen to me would happen to you also

might have to do exactly what I did this week

Same here. I’m 41xx and got a reschedule for preemployment. To my knowledge, preemployment is good for 90 days. I haven’t reached that 90 day mark so I’m hoping to get my medical scheduled for next class.

I was told that I need to called Dcas and get Reinstated back on the list

Going there Monday with my canvass filled up and making sure I get a medical date before leaving

You would have to redo the first step (drug test) because it is only valid for 30 days. So since you did it in October and they didn't reach your list number for medical, you'll have to do another drug test. You'll still have to bring in the same forms from the first time and all your original documents (SS card, birth certificate, etc.).

They call more names than needed for the first part of pre-employment because some people will fail the drug test and be disqualified. Others won't be interested in the job any long. Others will have unpaid tickets or not have original documents and just plain miss the appointment.

Also, people like me who were placed on medical hold will knock higher list numbers back once we clear the hold.

Crazy yeah I will  but wasn’t my fault they toke long  just called employment again just few mins and she said that
