The E and F are not the only once that are crowded. Also the A too since it’s the longest route which it requires open gangway. Better yet the A and F lines are the once mostly need king it being the longest route in the B division.

I definitely agree, the A and F need the R211T's

I just find it very pathetic that there are people in social media that are excited and practically celebrating because the r211's are removed from service.

I even saw someone on Facebook spreading the false rumor that the r32's are returning to service.

I just hope that these knuckleheads realize that the r211's will return to service (it's a matter of when) and that they will become the most reliable subway fleets just like the r179's.

If anyone actually believes the r32s are coming back is just Beyond gullible

They'll still have to rotate the local buses out of there later in months or so. From what I remember, the maintenance is done at JFK. FR is pull-ins/pull-outs at that depot and that the fare is collected from their farebox.

    * Their own fleet for now are the Prevosts and MCIs for the Express

    Yea.......     ...... thanks..............

The (G) shouldn't be 8 cars if it's still out of Jamaica Yard. It should be 10 cars for fleet flexibility. Making it 8 cars in Jamaica yard would create issues since the yard is already overcrowded with it's fleet. having a separate 8 car fleet would make it even more complicated.

Or the G can move back to Coney Island yard once its 480ft

4 car R211s do not need to exist, all of them and the option orders need to be 5 car sets. BMT East will have enough cars

I agree, if the M gets extended to Rockaway park (which I doubt) then I feel like it's a need for 4car r211s

  6. I'M REALLY GETTING TIRED OF COMING TO THE FOARM AND READING SENSELESS ARGUMENTS. R211 IS THE F****** TOPIC. TALK ABOUT THAT OR GET LOST

Where are the moderators because a few years back on the r179 thread I brought up PATH and it was almost a uproar

Which is probably why the soft shell set transferred to Jamaica. The F would also work too since people mentioned that. I’d be  surprised if It ran on the R or M, but those two are good, E or F it is.

Its definitely not going to the M because it's the 10 car set. Now the 8 car sets more then likely will

That’s what they get paid for, if they don’t like it they can find another spot or quit overall, no big deal, the people want new trains, it’s a must, not an option

Or MTA can just remove the camera out the cab

  9. The MTA doesn't realize no matter how wide the doors are even plug doors aren't going to help the time the trains spend at busy stations people just hold the wider doors. It was a waste making the doors wider and lost of seats huge fail I swear I hope the r268 doors are not 58 inches

I rode the R211 from 207th to far rock today (the 1st set) and it's starting to buck already (not surprising) It's not a bad train but the R179s are way way way better in terms of ride quality and smoothness.  I wish they made more of them in 10 car sets because they are nice on the (A). I might have bashed them in the past but after riding one on the (A) on the way back up. I prefer the R179 over the R211. I just hope that rumor isn't true of them leaving the (A) line because they are the best cars for the (A). I'm not saying the r211s are a bad train but they are alright. The r179s are even smoother than the R142s.

I agree the 179s are the best cars in the system . The r211s are on a scale from 1/10 I give them a 5. The 160s are better then those cars

    4120, 4121, 4122 and 4123: delivered and paired with 4124.

Also, the R211 has been released to daily rotation to the Pitkin Yard fleet. You’ll see more than 1 train set on the (A) line (4080-4089 is the second set, the (C): eventually yet TBD)

So 2 trains of r211 cars are in revenue service right now?
