  1. I applied for the promotional exam that's postponed. sick category bad not on sick control I guess that's my only option now.
  2. Wow that’s crazy mind you I’m already a conductor for the last 7 years.
  3. I got disqualified under this today. 2. You were considered and not selected for Appointment in accordance with Rule 4.7.1 (c), of the Rules and Regulations of the New York City Personnel Director.
  4. Yup Correct. They haven’t called or emailed anyone. I have to assume it’s because of the holiday. Maybe in January things will pick up.
  5. Anyone know how long the drug test is good for. I don’t know if it’s two months or three. If it’s two, mine just expired last week. Haven’t heard a single world. Nobody hasn’t responded to any emails or calls.
  6. I don’t think so. I believe they look at the paper work your doctor has given you to hand in to clear the medical hold but I would always assume they will do the basic blood pressure check, urine and etc.
  7. 7 years as a conductor and I still can’t get weekends off lol.
  8. You couldn’t had said it any better. I been a conductor for about 7 years now. The moment I got down here, people were being negative telling me their experiences. I took it all with a grain of salt. Someone else’s experience with the job won’t be the same for everybody. This job is easy as long as you know your job. Whenever I get a student I always tell them to remember what your job is. Remember what is your responsibility and know your rule book.
  9. Did anyone who did their drug test back in October hear anything yet for a December class.
  10. I stopped call DCAS a long time ago. The info isn’t always correct and updated.
  11. Yes you will hand in all documents first. Once all your documents are in good order then you’ll heave over to do your drug test.
  12. The list was extended and when I went in October to do my 2nd drug test the superintendent said they have a class every month until April and even more after that. Plus I am currently a conductor and the union vp also confirmed it.
  13. I know for B/O they are more concerned about driving record because of the CDL and stuff but for train operator as long as you have a active drivers license, and don’t owe any tickets you should be fine.
  14. I didn’t see that in the paperwork out being disqualified if you had an accident. Plus if the accident isn’t on your driving abstract why put it on the application.
  15. I went down on October 12 and, I haven’t heard anything yet. Hopefully they will call soon for the November class. A superintendent told a bunch of us that they have a class every month to March so it’s just a waiting game.
  16. Oh, okay. When I was going through the process for Conductor I was placed on medical hold. My doctor cleared me. All I had to do was bring in proof. When I did I was sent over to final processing, and was given a start date. That was back in 2017 maybe they do things differently now.
