  1. Classmate showed me a text he got saying there is rumor saying the last class is in Feb. So for what it's worth you should just live your life and move but you can always come back if they call you. for me it was drug test then medical and then they hire you on the spot after medical but then if you have health issues they can postpone it as this was what happened to a few guys i met during that day.
  2. I heard it expired but then my classmate told me his friend got into the next class in late january so i dont know who to believe everyone has tehir own opinions and 411s
  3. where are you acquiring these fake info such as 120k a year? if it's 120K a year.......then I think i got bamboozled by A LOOOT of $$$$
  4. did you quit or got fired? and also was ur list number high? yes you should have gotten a call/email getting canvased hope for a Jan or a Feb class and keep calling.
  5. so NWA = means that ur....not fired....but they refuse to give you work. in which case......after a few months or a year or ETC......they WILL fire you? this is so screwed up....... So you're buddy who is restricted has to do platform or yard work at the leisure of the (s)crew office? off topic - that any one can answer !~ - Transit has a Big Guy phobia!! We big buys need loving too! Being healthy and being Big is two different things right? Transit somehow feels that big neck = is bad. wth? - Can Transit put you on NO WORK if your neck size is too big even after probation? Or we will be forced to do the sleep apnea test every 6 months or so?? And yes!! I am Team Big Neck Gang too!!
  6. what is so wrong/bad about being restricted to yards? 8 and go home. easy money. gimme a drill sheet? it's DRILL TIME *****! no but seriously. if you were to be restricted and have a medical problem......can they fire u? not the worse that can happen, well thats bad for some folks, but what are the really bad things tat might happen if u got body issues, they can keep you in restricted for years? pros / cons?
  7. it's both interesting, yet confusing. I'm assuming the List number never changes (the test exam number), but the seniority # is lost (when we do come back to school car, graduate, bla bla bla). I do understand it though. Also another interesting question is: After 1 year (passing probation), can you just leave and come back within 1 year and all is fine and dandy? Or.....must Transit APPROVE your leave first? As I am told from someone......Transit only holds your position for 1 year if you leave for another DCAS job? Or does it include any other job (white collar or starting ur own business, etc).
  8. i'm OC too. if u don't mind....how long ago did you went through this? perhaps they were more lenient back in the day? is there someone or a department I can speak to, to ask this question? thanks
  9. What constitutes 1 year in title? Is it 1 full year in actual days working on the road? Or is it 1 year calendar days as an employee of Transit (since Day 1 of school car? File number is the Test # correct?, not the seniority number? Thank you again for clarifying.
  10. Question for those of you who Graduated school car, but never passed probation, quit and left, and then Re-hired to come back into School Car.... - Did you got to Keep your Seniority # when you came back? - Did you kept your Vacation progression? or did you had to restart from scratch? AKA - the 4 weeks vacation after 3 years deal, did you had to restart that? - Did you pick working in the other Division so that it's something new and now you can say that u have experience in both Div?? Thanks in Advance.
  11. I know the MAC measures our neck size...the GIRTH.....if it's too big we need the sleep apnea tests. Do they measure anything else regarding "girth"?
