  1. I have an idea for a new service pattern on the SAS opening in 2016.

    (N) Astoria-Coney Island, broadway local via bridge

    (Q) 96th/2nd-Coney Island, broadway express via bridge,

    (R) Forest Hills-Bay Ridge, broadway local via tunnel

-reduced service overall, more (M), (N) & (W) trains instead

    (W) 96th/2nd-Bay Ridge, broadway express via tunnel (local at night)

  2. Looks like there are extra buses on this order... New Flyer is LATE! HA!

Now lets get these buses over to Ulmer Park and Castleton, and very nice spotting.

    As for bus moves.

5025 is still in ULMER PARK with corresponding decals. Spotted that in CANARSIE this AM. That bus did not leave to MJQ as previously reported.

The XD40 order began at 4810. So Castleton gets 4870-4899.

  3. B90 LIMITED - Bay Ridge to Cross Bay

    via 86th Street

    via Kings Highway

    via Linden Blvd

    via Cross Bay Blvd

This way you can travel from Staten Island to Jamaica, Queens without stepping foot into the subway and only transferring twice.

Q87 - Cross Bay to Westchester Square

    via Rockaway Blvd

    via Linden Blvd

    via Merrick Blvd

    via Utopia Parkway

    via East Tremont Avenue

  4. The three O7 NGs are there. I saw 3802 last week, and managed to spot an O7NG (it ould have been either 3809 or 3807) sitting inside the yard by the security gate around 1230pm today.

This is the real deal people!

  5. Mm, you have a point. Castleton could use some variety. I'd like to see some buses go via the verrazano bridge.

The S53 is a CAS route and runs over the Verrazono Bridge. The S53 was the first CAS route to have the Level II O5s, so I wouldn't be surprised if the O7s start off on the S53.

  6. I was on the S96 yesterday afternoon, and saw 3802 sitting right there in the front next to some O5s.

And just a few hours ago, Trevor got this shot of it!

Screw Castleton, bring those babies to yukon!!!!!

I pass on that one. The CAS routes need more variety because all it has is 1999 Orion Vs and nothing else. At least when I ride the YUK routes, there's a chance it could be a '93 O5, Nova, TMC, or '99 O5. The only Yukon route I would like to see the NGs on is the S44.

  7. That's exactly the corner!

I was out and about today on the Island (S46, S48, and S54) and it was like a 1999 Orion V world with a few Novas living it in it. No sight of any O7 NGs, although I did catch a Yukon Nova on the S54 which is pretty rare

  8. Omg, I think it's pretty crazy to see that video, because I over in that area twice today, and I remember seeing 8292 on the S61 heading up Victory as I was getting off my S46.

I guess the person taking the video had just about the same luck as I did, trying to catch the O7 in service.

@East New York.... the O5s sometimes do hit the ground! I remember last month on the S98, we went all up on the curb once, definitely leaving a mark on the O5.

  9. It's about time! After enduring hell with the SI Division, I think it's very nice that they've made a sharp improvement and now new buses are headed this way too.

These buses should be easy to find all you have to do wait at the ferry terimal and they should pop up. I will proalby go look for them next week being i will have some free time.

Yep, your right about that. I spotted all of the few TMCs (about 5 out of 300+ local buses) at Yukon in only a 3 hour sitting in the St. George area.

I will definitely make sure I'm out and about tomorrow to go hunt for the O7s.

  10. You think the SIR is bad?

Try getting around by bus on SI..during any weekend. The headways are the worst! The MTA just needs increases every on SI. We need more limited service as well, but of course they'll never see that until a crush-loaded bus crashes with people standing up to the front doorway.

  11. It was stated by the Mayor's Staten Island Transportation Task Force that the R44s will be replaced by 2011.

I'm actually anticipating it because the SIR is so boring with the R44s.
