The problem with the is that it will take away service from the stations that are skipped. None of the Jerome Line stops are particular slouches in terms of ridership. Also problematic would be converting Fordham into an express stop because of all the property right near the el, which would have to be condemned and demolished to make room for a wider station. Bedford wouldn't have that problem because on the west side of the station is Concourse Yard, which is already TA property. But if you have a that skips from Bedford to Burnside, that's going to leave behind a lot of people. I suggested the possibility of a / skip-stop pattern, but even then, it likely wouldn't be much faster than the current service and you'd be leaving a significant number of people behind at the skipped stops.
I think that instead of converting Fordham and BPB-Lehman College into express stops, the TA can just add a switches on from the downtown track to the express track north of the station, as they don't exist. The current layout requires the train to leave the station before switching tracks, which makes it a logistics nightmare for signal operators. Then have the rush-hour locals terminate at Burnside Av, and continue to Woodlawn. Make it similar to the / on the Pelham Line. It would alleviate the capacity problems that exist at Woodlawn. The biggest problem I find with the was how crowded it got during rush hour for Bronx Riders when it reached 161st St. The only downside are for riders that only ride along Jerome and have to switch between trains on Burnside. So the would be Woodlawn, Mosholu, BPB, Kingsbridge, Fordham, 183 St, Burnside, 149 St, 125th. The would be Burnside, 176 St, Mt Eden, 170 St, 167 St, 161 St, 149 St, 138 St, 125 St.
I agree that converting Fordham to an express stop would be a nightmare considering how close the buildings are to the elevated structure in the area.

Some of your stops on Utica Ave puzzle me. How about this?
Fulton St-Utica Av
Eastern Pkwy-Utica Av
Lefferts Av
Winthrop St
Church Ave
Avenue D
Kings Hwy/Avenue H
Flatlands Av
Avenue N
Kings Plaza-Flatbush Av
So for the most part, it mirrors the B46 LTD.
And for 2nd Ave Subway service to the Bronx in general, I would add a seperate stop at 2nd Ave and 125th St. Pretty silly that service to/from the Bronx would go straight from 138th St to 116th St. And I already detailed my plans for a 125th St crosstown route.
That's actually better. I didn't know the B46 ran limited. I made so many stops because people wouldn't want to walk that far. This is how much I know about Brooklyn. It is better to have less stops anyway.
As for 125th street, there's no stop because the has no stop planned for 125th street and 2nd Avenue. Also the T connects to the Q60, , , and Metro North. Also, the new gateway mall is on E116th St and FDR so it makes sense to have all trains stop near a shopping center. 125th st and 2nd is not as populated as 116th st (except for the northern part of Wagner Houses).

Those are some mighty fast jaunts through Manhattan and Brooklyn.
Also, I know it's sort of beating a dead horse, but Rockaways/Breezy Point riders don't really need service past Beach 116th St.
Also also, your four Manhattan stops are pretty confusing. E 116th St, 42nd St, either Broadway-Lafayette or LES-2 Av, then West Houston and Av C? Some local service is cool too.
It's true that they don't need service past B116th Street, but it gives them an alternative to the A and access to the east side. The Q,T will provide local service in Manhattan. Houston St-2nd Avenue is LES 2nd Ave and 116th St is E116th St.

Bronx Redesign Draft Released
in New York City Bus
Posted · Edited by nightrider
When I saw the draft plan, I was livid about the M100 being eliminated along 125th Street, because I use it to go to Lexington. I think the change for the 100 cut back to St. Nick & 125th instead is a sort of compromise as there are many people that rely on the M100/M101 to reach the A,B,C,D and 2,3 trains. This was done because of the conditions on 125th Street, but the real problem is the lack of enforcement of the Bus Lane by NYPD or DOT or whoever enforces traffic.
Also, I was against having the bus lanes along outer lanes AND they kept street parking because the store owners complained about losing
theirparking for customers. I would have made the center lanes bus lanes, banned left turns, and banned parking along all of 125th Street. I've ridden the bus on 125th Street recently and the bus lanes are completely useless, the lack of enforcement on the corridor is absolutely atrocious. With the new bus route redesigned, the M101 is going to be even more overcrowded than it already currently is as so many people rely on the buses to get to City College & Randolph H.S., and those who take it to connections further east.
