  1. I don’t trust web/wiki sources that I find randomly.

    The link is: https://mtanyctransitfanon.fandom.com/wiki/Historical_MTA_Regional_Bus_rosters_(2005-2015)_(mtamaster_edition)

But, is any of this info true: 2005-2006 - MTA bus is formed over the years, and as a result, merged 9 different private companies into one. These buses were gained from the companies and renumbered to reflect the change:

    1995 Fixible Metro E 40102-4D:

    1550-1599 for Queensboro (Q101, Q102, Q103, Q104, Q105, QM1, QM1A)

    1600-1629 for Eastchester (Bx23, Bx70, Bx72, BxM6, BxM7, BxM7A, BxM7B, BxM9, BxM10:

    1630-1649 for Williamsburg (B102, B110, BM10, BM11, BM12, BM15)

Can anyone identify: 1995 Fixible Metro E 40102-4D buses - did they exist on an official MTAB roster? What private operators did they come from? Did they ever run for MTAB?

Was there a Williamsburg depot, and where was it located?

  2.

Speaking of NovaBus problems, Montreal has had more than its share:

Some of Montreal's new hybrid buses sent back to factory for repairs:

Many of the hybrid buses in the STM's first major order had a defect:

I hope NYC has better luck when the LFS hybrids arrive.

  3. I think he meant that the XD40s would most likely go to Manhattan and Brooklyn, but it is the MTA, so that could change...

Why are some folks asking about the XD40 delivery schedule? Look at the first page of this thread:

Delivery for the next options are scheduled as follows:

     60 buses scheduled to begin delivery/production April-June (XD40)

    120 buses between July-September (XD40)

    220 buses between October-December (XD40 and LFS)

20 buses between January and February 2017 (LFS)

Obviously the schedule has changed since this info was posted.

According to the MTA 2015-19 Capital Plan Document (page 182), $397.5 million is supposed to go to "purchase 628 standard diesel buses" in 2016.

So, we'll have to wait and see when the purchase is finalized.
