Proposed MTA fare hike panned

 

Straphangers vented at MTA brass yesterday about the proposed fare and toll hike during public workshops at New York University.

 

Transit officials tried to convince the public that the hike is necessary by using glitzy presentations during the "public engagement" workshops, then allowing straphangers to discuss the proposal during smaller sessions.
