OK, so I'm not very familiar with the control layout here, so can someone help me out?

 

I'm guessing that the centered orange T-handle controls the throttle, the black-balled handle controls brake applications and the narrow black handle pointed forward toward the TOD is the reverser. But what is the dial that looks like a safe combination lock? Was the Comet V stock ACSES-equipped out of the Alstom factory, or was it retrofitted, or do they not have it at all?

 

BTW: I always love cab shots, and that's a sharp-looking consist in the first pic.
