judycwrite 0 Posted March 14, 2008 Share #1 Posted March 14, 2008 I've been trying to find out what the dimensions of your average car on a train. I'm probably calling it the wrong thing, but how long is it? How many feet? I KNOW someone on this site will be able to help me with this! Help! Cappy 1 Posted March 14, 2008 Share #2 Posted March 14, 2008 An M-7 car is 85' long, 10' 6" wide, and 12' 11½" high. I believe that an M-1A, which I think were replaced by the M-7s, and an M-3A have the same dimensions as an M-7. The C-Series bi-level cars, which are pushed/pulled by the DE30AC (diesel) and DM30AC (diesel/electric) locomotives, are 85' long, 9' 10½" wide, and 14' 5.59" high. You can check out more information about this one at http://www.kawasakirailcar.com/lirr.htm.
