Pakenhamtrain Posted June 12, 2012 Share #1 Posted June 12, 2012 G'day all. Along with my Geelong trip I did a take a few photos around the city. Arriving into the Swanston Street stop with a route 109 to Box Hill is C.3021 D2.5003 arrives at Southern Cross Station with a 96 to St Kilda beach. Powering up Bourke Street is C2.5103 with a 96 to East Brunswick. Driving towards Docklands is Driver Bus Lines #42(Denning Manufacturing Low Floor - Cat/Custom Coaches CB60 Evo II) with the new Melbourne visitor shuttle livery. Driving past NationalBus #951 (Scania K230UB/ Custom Coaches CB60 EVO II) is Melbourne Bus Link #383(Scania L94UB/Volgren CR227L) Crossing Latrobe street with a route 3a to Malvern via St Kilda is Z3.197. Following right behind is A1.247 with a route 67 to Carnegie. Heading North is D1.3515 with a route 16 to Melbourne University. Behind is Z3.167. For some reason this tram was repainted into Grey instead of the MK4 livery. Following is Z3.177 with a route 1 to East Coburg. The desto for some reason is displaying what is usually displayed on the side destos. Heading towards the St Kilda Beach terminus is C2.5113 While the driver of Z3.216 has turned the points switch on the dash to left the actual points have failed to turn resulting in the horizontal bar staying lit. This symbol usually is if a tram behind is not traveling in the same direction as the one in front. It indicates that the call for the tram behind has been recorded. In situations where the points don't do what the driver wants the driver has to do it himself with the trusty point bar. With the points all sorted Z3.216 gets underway again with a route 3a. D1.3515 loads passengers while in the other direction is Z3.183 Traveling towards the St Kilda Beach terminus is D2.5004. For some reason the points behaved themselves and the driver didn't need to get out and change them.
