The Handyman Posted January 5, 2013 Share #1 Posted January 5, 2013 Hi everyone, I'm researching a former TWU member Liam Kelly (died in 2011), he joined in the early 60's and was a friend of Red Mike Quill. He later organised men from his Local into a support group for Irish Republicans during "The Troubles," called the "connie green republican club." I'm not sure when or if he retirred from the TWU I was hoping some members or former members on here that knew him or his activities could help. Any info at all is very appreciated. With the help of some wonderful friends of his we've collected enough info for a small book at least. Anyway, thanks in advance!

SeanP Posted January 17, 2013 Share #3 Posted January 17, 2013 There is some information about him (mainly tributes after his death) on the Irish blog Cedar Lounge Revolution, http://cedarlounge.wordpress.com/ Just log in and do a search on Liam Kelly. The only other member of the Connie Green Irish Republican Club I met was Paddy Purcell who I believe was also a TWU member so you may have talked with him if he's still around.
