Hi, I want to do some paper NYC subways and I want some requests! Here are the rules for this thread:

1. Request a New York City subway car (I prefer R-types best) something like this:

Example 1: 'Hey, I would like you to make an R211A on the (A) line.'

Example 2: 'Hey, can you make an R38, numbered 4149 on the (C)?'

Example 3: 'Can you make 2 cars of R42 on the (J), numbers 4616-17?'

Or however you want.

2. I will make the subway car(s)*

3. I will send pictures through this website in order to call it compete and make you happy.

*Note: It will take a minimum of 2 days and a maximum of 4 days to complete just one subway car.

So far, I have made these subway cars

1. R32 3741, (C)

2. R40S 4207, (B)

3. R33ML 8972, (7)

4. R33WF 9306, <7>

5 (under construction). R12 5722, (7), will be finished by Sunday

Put in your requests!!!

Please make a R211a on the A line.

Gotcha, my R12 is delayed by just a lil bit because I lost the scissors I had, so It might be finished within 2 weeks instead of a week.

Anyone want wraps on my subway cars? Let me know which wrap and what subway car and/or line you want me to do! Currently working on a Cuomo wrapped R160  (E) train, numbered 9133,  as I'm typing this.

It’s been over a week and a half since I completed my most recent subway car, that R62A (7). On my list, all i need to do is these following rolling stocks

The R42 (J)

The R110B (A)

Can I have A R211 on the (F) Coney To Coney Island Stillwell Avenue Side rollsign says:

(F) Coney

       Island

Thanks

What type of R211 are we exactly talking about here? The most realistic would be a T since it ran on the (F) in 2023 for a little unveiling. The As probably would not go on the (F) soon and god knows if they ever will.   It might take a bit to make an open gangway as well.
Also, I hope you know this but I do these handcrafted, not by print. I get a pic of the subway car, draw it like this

All subway cars: 5cm in height, add an extra 1cm for the upper part (no window part to connect the roof), 5cm width

IRT: 11.5 cm length

60’ IND/BMT: ~13.5-13.7 cm length

75’ IND/BMT: 16.5 cm length

Take a piecea paper and try it!

What should I name my NYC Subway yard, where all my trains are stored?

Suggest names here. Idk what to call it.

Maybe “ Penn Yard”, * or “ York Yard”.

I was also thinking of 30 St yard, because, Philly.

What I do know is that Every line has its own track and then they merge to get out of the yard by division. Every | is separating tracks. Here's how it's set up.

Line

Rolling stock

Track #

(1)  | (4)  | (7)<7>  | (A)  | (B)  | (C) | (D)  | (E)  | Under construction

R62A  R142    R12,           R44,   R40S    R32    R68    R160B    R42 (J), R110B (A),

                        R33ML,    R211A                                                    R160B (F)

                        R33WF,

                        R62A

(1)     (2)         (3)        (4)     (5)     (6)     (7)      (8)            (9)

Tracks (1)(2)(3) merge, Tracks (4)(5)(6)(7)(8) merge, Track (9) is single, and does not merge with any other track

Soon, Track (9) will be taken over by the (F), and there will be a new Track (10) for the (J). That means the UC track would be put in a new Track (11). The R110B will be placed in Track (4). Tracks (4)-(10) will merge once all subway cars are finished and Track (11) will be the single track.

The sound of a R142:

eeeeeee aaa aaa aaa aaa aaa

Sounds much better than that. I'd call the sound pleasant. It's too iconic
