  1. Wow. I kind of figured there would be a higher percentage of people taking the job. With the way the job market is right now and all. Pretty sure like myself a lot of us were hoping to get called on these three classes. Hopeefully that post is true about another 120 T/O positions in the first Quaternary of 2013. If any of our future seniors can confirm it would be appreciated...
  2. Wait, what if you have a past of cancer but been in remission for 5 years. I shouldn't make it known? Help on this topic would be greatly appreciated cause I have been back and forth about this and not sure what I should do.
  3. Hey guys. Question can they put you on medical hold for past Dx of Cancer? And do we have to disclose if we have been diagnossed with cancer even if you are in remission for the past 5+ years? If anyone knows it would greatly be appreciatted. I read all the post about the medical releases and all but with all the back and forth didn't really get an answer from it....
  4. Being that ask for a release on our medical records. Will they hold past aighlments against you (ie. Cancer, cardiac, asthma, etc.)?
  5. Good luck to you all that have your appts this week. Keep us informed as to how it goes. Hope to get a letter soon and make it through to see you all in schoolcar.
  6. The ball is rolling. Just called the employment center and they have already started calling people in. The lady said they are up to list #10. I guess those are ppl being called in to start schoolcar. Can anyone confirm?
  7. Anyone know what can DQ someone from the list?
  8. Not sure, but from what I understand it is a 50/50 chance. I've been told that the O/C list can go fast between the ppl listed that do not respond and the ones that are disqualified. As well as all those that decide that they can't do the job for whatever reason.
  9. Hello all, I'm new to the forum. Congrats to all that have gotten the letter to report and good luck. Hopefully I will recieve some good news soon as well and see you all in schoolcar. I am nervous of the process though, like a couple of others have posted, I too have had my run ins with the law in my past when I was about 18. Although my work experiences have been pretty concrete since the age of 22, I just hope my younger years are not held against me. I've been an EMT since 1998 and held my first EMS job for 8 years, and a couple of others for 3+ years. I'm in the top 500's so (fingers crossed) I make it into the December class. Really need the change and eager to learn. If any seniors have any advice or feedback on if my history will hurt me or not will be appreciated.
