  1. So for almost 2 months you were on hold, and the MTA took it upon their own liberty to remove you from the list because you took too long for medical hold. Well that isn't fair.. I mean, did you atleast contact the MTA and let them know what the delay was? I mean, because now I'm on medical hold as of January 14th.. All I gotta do is a get a letter from my doctor.. but when I went back to MAC 1 to ask my Dr questions, she told me that I now have to wait some time while my body becomes used to the insulin that my regular doctor told me to take, it might take a couple of weeks for that.. Should I be fearful that they'll remove my name from the list as well? Yea, I was also told by the lady behind the desk that the DR that I have is the worst one there! FML!!!! lol
  2. How long did you take to get off medical hold? I just got put on medical hold on Monday, how long do I have before they remove me?
  3. Lucky me, I got placed on hold because I'm diabetic.. So now I'm running around like a chicken with no head trying to get blood tests done and paperwork filled out. I'm not on insulin but now my doctor tells me I'm going to need it.. who knows where this is going to end now..
  4. Cool, hopefully they'll reply by close of business today, if not, they're closed on Sat and Sun.. probably Monday.. and if they don't call you by then, try calling again.. early in the morning too, around 930am..
  5. 3476438229 - ask to speak with the liaison.. If shes not there, leave a msg and she should reply fairly quick..
  6. Well that makes sense, I just received a call today from the MTA to report in on Monday morning for the medical/final processing.. So yes, they are starting to call people to prep them up for the upcoming classes, which is a good sign.. My list number is between 325-335 but I was called in late so I honestly don't know what numbers are going to be called.. if anyone else has any information.. please let us know.. So does that include you? Mr 2,640 posts? lol j/k
  7. I also went in that week for the drug test, on the 12th.. My list number is between 325-335.. I haven't gotten a call from the MTA either. All I got was a letter from DCAS to go in this past Monday so I can verify my veterans credit(Which I did). I'm also still waiting for a call or a letter.
  8. Great estimations bro.. So what your saying is that they're basically waiting for those who are on medical hold, etc.. to clear up their situations? Which doesnt make since cause they could keep going down the list.. or maybe it wont be fair for those who are on hold..
  9. So did a friend of mine I spoke with yesterday. He told me that once he was in schoolcar, then he recieved a notification to go to 1 centre street. However, my situation is different.. I took my drug test 12/12/12 and tomorrow will make 4 weeks.. but no call yet to report to the medical.. im positive i didnt fail my drug test because I dont do drugs.. so WTF is the hold up? lol.. maybe im just being impatient..
  10. Thursday? Ok.. cool.. I just came back today from 1 centre street. I had to go with some proof of my military service to claim veterans credit. I asked them how long it would take for them to verify the records and they told me that they had to send out the prints to the FBI, then wait for them to reply.. So I honestly don't know how long it'll take for MTA to receive information from DCAS that my veterans credit has been verified. I called the MTA employment desk today just to verify that my contact information was correct and they quickly sent me to a voicemail where I had to leave a message and am currently waiting for a response.. I'm just curious as to what the status is of my drug test and basically what number are they up too? Cause I'm in the range of 325-335 and all I've gotten accomplished was a drug test and verification of veterans credit so far.. meanwhile another person posted earlier that the last person was appointed was list# 350.. WTF is going on here?
  11. What day this week do you have to come down to Livingston Street?
  12. I'm in the 325-335 range and I went down for my drug test on 12/12/12.. haven't heard anything from the MTA yet however I did recieve a notice from DCAS to go down to 100 Centre street to validate my veterans credit. I have to go down this Monday.. does anyone else have to go there? Also, is this the reason why I haven't been called down for the medical/final processing yet?
  13. I heard from an inside source that there will be a class starting Jan 12th.. I'm not to sure how accurate that information is but the person who told me is already in school car..
  14. I took the drug test Dec. 12th but haven't received a call back yet! subwaydriver said in an earlier post that it could take up to 4 weeks and this past Wednesday was the 2nd week.. I got my letter in the mail last week.. has anyone finished that 21 page booklet yet? Here's to hoping, I went bankrupt a couple of years ago and am currently struggling to pay some bills.. but that's because of my financial situation. I currently have more bills than I can keep up with.. that's why I need this job.. gotta get back to a stable level.. financially..
  15. I took the drug test December 12th and haven't received a call yet. List # range between 325-335.. I did however, receive a notice to go to 100 centre street with my military documents to claim veterans credit.. I'm due to show up Jan 7th.. maybe that's why they haven't called me back yet? They could be pending verification of the veterans credit and once that's all verified, maybe then they'll give me a call...
  16. Ok, I'm in the list range of 325-330 I've taken my drug test on december 12th, 2012 haven't been to the medical yet.. The reason why I took the drug test late was because there was an issue with my mailing address, so when I went in for the test, there were probably ppl with higher list numbers than me..
  17. Well, in regards to how far back worth of education they want, I was told today to go as far back as elementary school. I went in for my drug test today.
  18. And whats the difference between the one I got now and the one I'm going to get? Do they compare both to see if theres a difference in answers?
  19. I did exactly as you said and was successful in them transferring me to a "Mrs Robinson" who didn't pick up the phone the 1st time but quickly answered my voicemail. I was grateful she called me back and we were able to resolve my situation! So it looks like I didn't go through a bad case of "Moday's" as previously anticipated! LoL! Thanks, I went in today in my work clothes and nobody even said anything to me. I was there only to pick up the packet that I didn't receive in the mail however, but when I read the pre-employment packet, it specifically stated that to wear "Business Casual" attire. Thanks for the good luck wishes! I only went down there to pick up the pre-employment packet that I was supposed to receive in the mail but never did. So I didn't actually do anything today. However, I must report in this Wednesday morning at 0730 with the completed pre-employment packet (which isn't 21 pages like mostly everyone else said, unless I have it confused with another packet we might get). Well, lets hope that everything goes well for these next couple of meetings in which I can begin wearing those dark blue collared shirts with black pants. #herestodafuture
  20. So how are we supposed to go dressed when going in for the first time? I just got off the phone with them and they told me to come in today, however, I didn't ask how to dress..
  21. Thanks, I'm up nice and early, eating my wheaties, getting my voice ready to be heard.. lol.. nah j/k.. waiting till 9am to make the call, hopefully they'll pick up and hopefully nobody will have a bad case of Mondays..
  22. I plan on giving them a call early Monday morning to try and get this all figured out. It really freaks me out that the opportunity of a lifetime just passes me by like that.. it isn't fair that all these people behind me in the list is jumping for joy because they've recieved a letter or call but I'm still here wondering why I haven't gotten anything. Trust me, I can't wait for Monday morning. I'm gonna make sure that I ask for her if I can't get any accurate information from the desk. Hopefully I won't be dealing with people who's going to have a bad case of the Monday's!
  23. Would you happen to know anything about the medical process for new hires? Such as if they automatically disqualify one for being diabetic? I'm diabetic and I take insulin but my diabetes is under control thanks to the medication. Should I even tell them that I'm diabetic? Should I keep it hush-hush? Or should I tell them? And what is the risk I take if I tell them I'm not diabetic? Anyone else's inputs would also be helpful. So, did you go through the medical process already?
  24. I'm definetly going to look into that.. do you know if they're open today so I can call them?
  25. I did. I got both notices! I got one marked 2010(the education and experience) and the other (exam results) marked 2007(I think).. However, I did get both notices. They were both sent to my mailing address and I did personally receive both notices. To be honest, I'm between list number 329-331.. I'm reading the posts on this website and reading that people behind me on the list are getting notices. Meanwhile, I haven't even received a letter or a phone call yet! I was advised by another forum member to attain the phone number to the MTA employment Desk (which I did) number is 3476438229.. When I called today, a lady picked up and I asked what list number on exam 8098 were they up to, and she replied "8" with an attitude and then I told her my list number and she said that they will get to me. After the phone call, I realized that a friend of mine who was list number 85-90 is already in the class which begun in October. So how could they possibly be up to the number 8? Things just aren't adding up properly and I'm beginning to become frustrated with this whole situation.
