Finally. I got my final process done today and I will start training on the 23rd. Let's back track to '08 when I took my conductor exam 8094. I got the letter for BOSS back in May '13. I took the 1st D/T on July 2nd. My medical was done on July 24th along side another D/T which expired. I then did another D/T on Sept 4th and I finally did my final process today on Friday the 13th.. What a Journey...... I'm very excited and ready to pass this training session and join the rest of guys. I've learned a lot from this forum and I'd like to thank everyone that contributed to it... See you guys on the other side and thanks again...

Well I finally heard from the mta yesterday 8/29. I have to go for my third D/t on sept.3rd again without my 20 page booklet. I asked why I have to give another piss sample the lady told me cause the last one I did had expired 7/24. This's starting to get a lil annoying cause I'm missing out on money at my job to spend a whole day at 180 livingston just to give em a third piss sample and not knowing when I'll be going in for final processing. Has anyone heard from the mta to go in on the 3rd of sept? Let me know.

Hi Im new to the forum, I would like to know how long does it normally take to be called after passing the exam?

A really long ass time. It took me 5yrs and still ain't get fully processed. Just so happen they stopped hiring as soon as they got to my #. Lol. Keep whatever job u have now and some faith. Good luck!

I heard the same thing...my husband is 433x on the list and took the BOSS survey on june 12.  He has been waiting for the letter to go for drug test but hasn't gotten anything so when he called on friday was told that they stopped hiring right now.  

 

Thanks 4 that. At least now I could go and get my CDL done b4 they call me up for training. That'll be one less thing 4 me to worry about. Who knows maybe by the time they call me up for training me and your husband will be in the same training course. Fingers crossed for me and your husband that we'll get called b4 the end of this year. How's your line training going and did u take your DMV test yet?

Does anyone know that if it's true they ran out of vacancy? That's what I was told on Monday when I called HR. I'm a lil concerned now cause I've passed all the DT's and the Medical exam but no response as of 7/24/2013. I'm just waiting to go down for final process and get my career started. Does anyone know if there's another # I can call and get some actual facts about what's really going on besides HR #? I feel like the HR people just wanna get u off the phone ASAP with as lil info as they can. Exam #8094 list # 291*. Thanks

Just curious if anyone knows what they do for physical examinations. 

You get checked out by the doc 1st physically. Then doc's in white coats give u the rest of the exams like EKG,Hearing,Eye,Blood Pressure,Weight exams. Then u go c the 1st doc that gave u the physical and she gives u the overall of ur exams whether u qualify or disqualified. If u qualify u go back to front desk where u started ur day and they give another sheet to go take urine test #2. Hope that helps.

Any 1 have any idea on where to print this form instead of going to 180 livingston. I've tried Application for Examination on the forum but does not work. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hello all I'm a week away from heading up to zerega to begin training on 8/12 and from what I've read on here if I keep my head down and listen to what the instructors say I should be fine. I've had two years experience driving a straight truck through the streets of NYC and at the risk of sounding overly confident I enjoy the challenges of driving in our great city and think this is going to be the most challenging adventure yet. Other than taking everything slow and steady and listening does anyone have any pointers in moving from trucks to busses?

So do those 2 people get fired since it was line training? What if that was the 7-10 day training then what would'a happened? What borough were they in? That's pretty scary do to the fact that you only get trained for 5 days of driving the MTA way. I hope no one got hurt in those 2 accidents. 

So what is new with everyone.  Anyone in a depot or training to become a B/O.

I'm still waiting for final process. As soon as I get in the training depot I'll be sure to ask all the questions I have for you as you are very accurate with most of your answers. 1 question for now is does the MTA start payig you from when you start line training? Thanks

 I was wondering the same thing. I remember wishing lawkev gd luck a few days ago and now I can't find em in any where on this site anymore. Have u heard from em? The last I remember he was going for day 10. I'm still waiting 4 the final process call. Exam #8094 List #291*. By the way U have been a great help as far as giving info about certain manuvers and handling the bus during training. Thanks so much.

Thank you Flowerpower for clearing that up for me. The reason I was concerned is cause I thought it was right after u got qualified that u go

 

and take the road exam right away(DMV). So now I at least know not to worry about going to a driving school and spending time and money 

 

that I don't have to get lessons and wait the same amount of time to get an appointment for the road test. It's also great cause u get to drive 

 

and maneuver the bus for at least 4 more weeks till ur road exam(DMV). Thanks again and Congrats to u and best of luck all the way through

I qualified today thank god. Have ti be at zerega 9am mon...only one from my group qualified day 7, us three today. How did everyone else do?

 Congrats and best of luck to u for ur DMV road test. What did they tell u about the procedure for getting ur CDL exam done? How does that work? Does the DMV examiner come to the depot or do u have to go to them? Does the MTA provide the bus for it? Sorry for all the Qs. Is it also true that they give u 2 shots at DMV road exam if u qualify on day 9?
