Yes there is parking around there as long as you show up extra early. I parked right in front of the school but I also got there 2 hours early and beat the proctors. Cause they also drive and find parking.

I was supposed to take the test yesterday but I missed it. I thought it was next week but it was yesterday. Is there any way I can reschedule?

Have you tried calling them, and maybe they can let you take it one of the other days. I know there's one next weekend, and I'm scheduled for the 30th. So there could be a chance they allow you to take it those days.

 

When I took the MTA bus test, they allowed that from a few people that were there.

Like everyone else suggested. It doesn't seen that long since I'm using the time to complete the CDL Process. I guess it would be anxious to those that are just waiting for the letters.

Thanks guys! It was pretty easy. I had a fair DMV inspector. I got 15 points taken off. Forgot something on the pre trip. The part where u ask him to help you check if your signals, master light and brake light are working, where he is outside while you do the brake, signal and master light test. other then that was smooth sailing. I did mess up a tiny bit on my parallel park as I parked a tiny bit too far from the curb, all tho I did that on purpose as I would rather have been to far then hitting the curb. He asked me if I wanted to do it again I said sure ( make sure u again secure the vehicle, take the key and physically inspect outside again, even tho I was doing the parallel park again from the same spot you still have to re check outside the back of the bus). 2nd parallel park was right on point. There was no railroad to go over in red hook so he just asked me if this corner was a railroad what would you do, i did not have to actually do it as he just wanted to make sure I knew what I was supposed to do. All in all he was a good and fair inspector. I did use a school, a place called NYC CDL Auto Club, it's out of Sheepshead Bay Bk. I am from Queens but I used them cause they were able to get me a road test date in 12 days from he date I called them which was awesome.

Follow up on the training school. What kind of package deal did you get? Affordable?

Congrats @invzo1019. Did you use a training school for the road test?

I'm very excited right now, Listed at #82x. Just came back from DMV, passed written test general with air brakes, passenger, and school bus with NI ($90 for DOT medical). Also included Tank since I'm on list for sanitation. Road test prep here I come. Thanks to everyone who has posted their exprince so far, it's been real helpful.

Any of the guys who do get any initial packagedto fill out, if possible let us know what info we need to get ready, so when we get the packages we are prepared. Or if possible upload a picture of the forms.

@youngnyc not sure if that would be against forum rules. My apologies if it is. 

It's not paranoia, it's just trying to make sure theres no issues when we have to show up.

Preparing for the CDL Permit test, I know this info has been covered before so I apologize just want to make sure I get everything right. . Need to get CDL class B with Passenger and Air Brakes. When they asked at DMV about the federal medical regulations, which one do we choose? NI, NA, EI, or EA?

 

FYI: List number 8xx.

This test was a bit too easy. Then left with the answer sheet but actually lost it trying to make it to the train. Im just glad i know I did good. But if anyone found an envelope with an answer sheet in it please PM Me.
