4135-39 are coupled with 4140-44. I told you there'd be some switch ups.

4185-89 were testing at Broad Channel.

    4080-89, 4105-09, 4160-64 & 4180-84 on stand-by.

4150-59 continue burn-ins, expected to start by next week. We'll see.....

All else are active on the rails.

So about 15, soon to be 19-20 sets?

The Yardmaster assigns the cars .  There are 3 eight hour shifts for yardmasters daily, Plus since transit  a 24/7 business, there are many different yardmasters in the course of a week.

Finally, the Division of Car Equipment makes the cars available because of maintenance requirements.  Therefore whatever is available and released by CED (R46/R179) the yardmaster will assign.  Bad performers or good performers are kept tracked of by CED, not the RTO Yardmaster.

I’d love to be a yard master. Lol

I’m on the R211T right now ( approaching uptown platform at 59th St-CC ) , this is my second ride and I gotta say, I really like the soft shell better, it gives the train a more spacious feel. All the updated features on the T are really cool , very nice fast smooth ride and it looks so incredible seeing through the train as it curves swerves and descends.

What’s the new features besides the gangway?

I think regardless, Jamaica is getting more cars - (expanded (G) train length or frequency boosts for the (E)(F)). Would make sense for the R179s to go to the (G) for this purpose, and have all 8-car 179s to the (J) and finally make sure ENY has enough NTT cars for the foreseeable future until the R143 replacements.

So the A/C will be full 211 in this situation?

With all of the R211s available right now, 11 sets of R211a and 2 sets of R211T, some still undergoing testing, they probably don't need the AA sets.  I'd be surprised if they don't start moving the R46s around to storage until they are finally retired.  There isn't infinite space at Pitkin.  It will still be a long time until cars start shifting around other than R211s replacing R46s on the A and C.

They also use the back of Concourse to store cars, I saw a full set or two a couple weeks ago, but it could be gone.

I don’t think all were bad on my side of BK. I think the B40 is a good idea for people in the Bergen Beach side, but it would be great if it went downtown. Then you have the B5 which I feel is just an overlap of the B6. I think if they’re gonna have the B5 go to the gateway it should be the B6 ltd and have the local terminate at Rockaway parkway.

Didn’t say the routes were bad particularly, the descriptions of the routes itself, they improved on it in the QBR (with showing overnight frequencies).

Try putting an artic on the narrow streets of Bayswater. At most you could only get 40-footers in there. So only the Q22 would work. Unless a new Q116 is created going from Mott Ave-Sheepshead Bay via. Bayswater with the following limited stops:

    Far Rockaway LIRR
    Far Rockaway (A)

    Mott Ave/McBride Street

    Mott Ave/Eggert Place

    Mott Ave/Bay 24th Street

    Bayswater Ave/Bay 25th Street

    Bayswater Ave/Bay Park Place

    Bayswater Ave/Norton Drive

    Norton Drive/Cold Spring Road

    Norton Drive/Healy Avenue

    Bay 32nd Street/Bessemund Avenue

    Bay 32nd Street/Falcon Ave

    Bay 32nd Street/Beach Channel Drive

    Beach 36th St (A)

    Beach 44th St (A)

    Beach 60th St (A)

    Beach 67th St (A)

    Beach 79th St/Rockaway Beach Blvd

    Beach 84th St/Rockaway Beach Blvd

    Beach 90th St(A)(Sblue)

    Beach 98th St(A)(Sblue)

    Rockaway Ferry

    Beach 116th St(A)(Sblue)

    Newport Ave/Beach 129th St

    Riis Park

    Beach 169th St

    Floyd Bennet Field (Aviator)

    Shore Pkwy/Knapp Street

    Shore Pkwy/Nostrand Ave

    Shore Pkwy/Bedford Ave

    Shore Pkwy/Ocean Ave

    Sheepshead Bay (B)(Q)

Here we go with the sheepshead bay bs…

How about this for an answer?

    NO.

  8. I got a couple of questions that people can answer if they like:

Would an extension/combination of the Q47/49 be feasible?

How about the Q33 via 69th Street to Middle Village?

Can the Q72 replaces the southern portion of the Q29 (below Woodhaven)?

Would combining the Q104 and the northern section of the B53 be too much?

Just some extensions I put in the simulator, to “save resources” like the MTA does.
