* On the and trains, you see R46, R179 and R211. Although, for those who photograph, ride and fan the line, you may want to go get your images of the R68/A tripper as much as you can (Late PM rush trip from 207 St to Far Rockaway and back to 207 St). It's been said that the one R68/A consist will not be around any longer starting the upcoming Spring/Summer pick (that'll start between the end of June and first week of July). Also, the will have headway changes that'll occur later on.
* Other pointer: The R160 to Coney Island from 96 St ( at 96 St that arrives at 8:03 AM) is kept on the next pick. But hey, you may see that special R32 during the summer if the NYTM will have it for their excursion.
Do you know what time that r68/a tripper occurs from 207st.

Why does most of the additional LIRR service run to/from Penn when the parade route is so much closer to Grand Central?
I know right. It doesn't make sense. I thought the extra trains would run to grand central. Maybe because GCM is too deep of a station. I don't know.

Baseball season is back next month. On Friday, April 5th, the Lo-V will run from Grand Central (leaving at 11 AM) up to 161 St-Yankee Stadium. While that train leaves, another train will run behind it, The Train Of Many Colors.
Are they going to run a vintage train for the Mets home opener or nah.

whats the total number of M9 cars in service and how many are left to be delivered.

What's with the Lirr M3's being assigned to the same train time of a particular branch. Like an M3 set is always appearing on the 5:37 PM Long beach bound train.

Does anybody think if the MTA would run the TOMC for the Mets home opener.

The 74th Street-Main Street GO on the will start to happen more often next year, problem is that this will affect the 82nd and 111 Street Station renovation projects, it’s currently delayed already, it doesn’t need to be delayed again, my suggestion is to do this GO around approximately May-June 2024, when the 52nd and 69th street Manhattan bound platforms will be closed, so then the 74th-Main St GO will be worth it, no trains will pass on either direction, and there will be more time for construction to be done.
wait, so there's going to be some full weekend closures on the train between 74th st and Main st. what kind of work would be done that would require that portion to be shutdown.

That seems like a disaster waiting to happen.
Instead of doing all that, have the run to 96th St using fleet from the , and have the run to Forest Hills using fleet from the . That shuttle is also completely useless.
Why not just shut the train down from astroia ditmars blvd to 57st-7th av instead of spliting it into two service. Is 39th ave really an ideal setup for shuttle buses to lineup.

This is for ADA work at Queensboro Plaza. The is also suspended between 57 St-7 Av and 39 Av-Beebe Av that same weekend. A split service will run between Stillwell Av and 96 St-2 Av every 15 minutes, and a shuttle train will run between 39 Av and Ditmars Blvd every 12 minutes. Shuttle buses will dump everyone at Queens Plaza for the (days/evenings) and the (diverted via Broadway to 34 St overnight). So much for that to Forest Hills plan.
Are they going to increase service on the QBL line because I could see crowd issues arising if they leave the service the way it is on weekends during this G.O.

They're in the middle of getting Nova LFS units. Two units are already in service, with one of them being 9029 on the Q6. The XD60's were at JFK for years.
I know the XD60 bus been at JFK for years. It's just that it's very rare for an XD60 bus to pop up on that route. I was just curious about the Nova LFS units

Ok two interesting things I saw this evening on the q6 bus, one saw a brand new bus with a blue livery scheme on it, and second an XD60 bus. Is JFK bus depot getting brand new buses.

So the trains local service along Queens Blvd late nights will begin much earlier, 8:30PM towards Manhattan, 9PM towards Queens. So much Question is Will trains still be running towards the city from 71st Ave.

Is it normal for the LIRR to operate with 6 car trains on non diesel branches.

Since the GCM schedule went into effect, has an M3 set appeared on the West Hempstead or Port Washington Branch.

Why do LIRR trains go so slow when entering and leaving long beach.

Currently on a 12 car set M3 train on the Babylon express trains. These trains can still run good.

likely delayed to 2024, since the project can't be finished by December 20, 2023 and likely they want the 63 St tunnel during the Christmas holiday so that the 53 St tunnel can be closed for its yearly 5-day shutdown.
no it's not delayed. It begins the end of August.

Is it too much of a hassle for the MTA to have the trains running via the 53rdst tunnel in both directions, that way trains would be able to serve the QBL local stations.

The LIRR needs to increase weekend service on the Hempstead, Long Beach, and Far Rockaway Branch, especially Long Beach. And the LIRR can only offer two Long Beach Express trains, one in the Morning, one in the afternoon. Trains on these branches shouldn't be running every hour. These branches don't even travel that far like long distance.

Apparently Coney Island Bound trains will be running express Mon to Fri July 10-Aug 4th from Parsons Blvd to Forest Hills-71st Ave due to electrical improvements
Also the Manhattan Bound Platform at Sutphin Blvd station will be closed during this time as well. During this same time frame, World Trade Center Bound trains stop at 75th Av.

Is the Manhattan Bound Platform at the Sutphin Blvd station getting some work done requiring to be closed for an extended period of time because it's listed underneath a GO that is requiring trains running express in one direction from Jamaica 179th St to Forest Hills 71st Ave. It's listed around the third weekend of July.
Also there would be no train service between Jamaica Center and Kew Gardens-Union Tpk starting July 8 every weekend until early August.
LIRR trains would be cross honoring between Jamaica and Penn Station during this GO.
