  1. Thanks.. I already have all required endorsements, BTW this company is FedEx, which requires a DOT physical but no CDL required,

i had to dot physical with my current company. its basically is a medical certificate with that u can have ur A3 restriction remove by submitting it to the dmv.

  2. i been on outstanding certification for almost 4 months now and my list no is 58*. it means nothing. i also on an track worker exam they hired 700 and my list r in the 6400 i also on an outstanding certification lol. from what i read and the people said all that matters is the list no that got hired then u should know approx when they will sent out employment letters.

  3. Well first of all do not panic. Call the MTA Hiring Center tomorrow between 11-4 at 347-643-8229. Tell them the DCAS automated system is reporting that the last certified number for exam 4600 is 1024 but that your number is still reported as outstanding certification and ask if they can help you understand why that might be the case. Please keep in mind the people answering those calls are the very same people you will be dealing with when you finally are called in so be polite, patient and respectful.

I have read a couple of people comment on this forum that they too are in your situation but I haven't read anybody return with any more info so perhaps you can share any general info that you learn. Good Luck!

Ok I just call and they said if u on "an outstanding certification" then u on the list, if u "not on outstanding certification" then u off the list. Can someone confirm lol?

  4. As I already wrote before 'Yes" I was on an outstanding certification... Everybody starts off on the list as an outstanding certification, then as people become certified the status changes to NOT on outstanding certification. Certification essentially means the government has determined that you are eligible for appointment (hiring), which gives the MTA the green light to proceed with the next steps in the hiring process. Doesn't mean we are hired, just that whatever the criteria that has been set to be eligible for appointment has been met. This prevents the MTA from spending the time and money required to interview you, process your pre-employment application, test us for drugs and doing a medical just to find out later that for some reason you are ineligible for appointment to a civil job.

As far as the pre-employment package sent/mailed. We will receive a letter informing us when to go to MTA hiring center in Brooklyn. At that time, we will receive the pre-employment package/paperwork and as I understand it we will then be called back to return the paperwork and take a drug test and exam. I have not received that letter yet. Although it has been repeatedly reported on this forum that they sent letters to first 200 numbers, that is not the case. Hiring center tells me only the first 95 have been contacted.

so i list no 58* still on outstanding certification then i should call? is there anyone else still on outstanding certification thats under list 1024? am i the only one lol

  5. hi has anyone in here took there road test in syosset long island if so how is it over there

i did lol. there was four of us with our teacher taking the road test that day but we got lucky with the examiner an cool old guy. 3 of us passed and only 1 who failed has very cocky attitude. like the previous post says the examiner knows passing or failing in the first few mins.  our instructor already knows most of us will pass just by who the examiner is.

  6. @astogezz. I'm going to need your help cause I'm about to get called and I'm nervous with the 10 day training. Do you have any advice?

i thought u had the same list #58* as me did u received ur employment letter?

  7. I have a question , I received my cdl permit and it only says passenger under endorsements. It should say air brakes too right or no? I took and passed my air brakes.

Sent from my SGH-M919 using Tapatalk

air brake is an restriction not an endorsement. if u dont have an air brake u will have a L restriction.

  8. @svjbk. Do you know your friends list number so I have some sought of estimation? My number is 58* do you have any estimation of when I might get called in?

i got the same list no and i want to know too. another noob question whats difference between TA and OA list?

  9. @youngnycsubwayfan. When filling out the pre-employment package, and asked about employment history, how far do they go back? I have owned a barber shop for 13 yrs. is that all I'm going to have to put down?

usually most company wants 10 years of work history. not sure if mta wants ur whole history. can someone confirm? i hope its 10 yrs lol don't want to spend 140 and hours at ssn office. also ticket resolved meaning its OK if found guilty too? that's why i have 2 points on my license.

  10. Ok i have an A3 restriction on my cdl permit and just scheduled an appointment with my doc who is registered under dot for a medical certificate on saturday. Hes charging $100 cash. After that I can take it to the dmv monday and pay $17.50 without taking the test over right? I just want to make sure i complete everything right before i have to appear. Thanx guys for all the he

lol 100, there is a place in jfk airport charges 50. from what i understand about a3 is that u cant operate CMV out of state how ever the government agency r exempt from this restriction. so mta r fine?

  11. Fyi Rcvd my 4600 appearance letter and have to go in next week with documentation. Number is just under 200.

Also anyone know the answer to my previous post? I have two friends that are suing the MTA for an accident they were involved in.does anyone know if this will disqualify them from employment with the MTA?

u received employment package? i called again today lol now it says i on outstanding certification. as for the lawsuit i would assume that it will have to be closed before u can proceed.  i would call mta and ask for definite answer.

  12. After a little research im pretty confident that every single # on the list starts out as an "outstanding certification". This means you are NOT eligible for hiring until your credentials have been verified. Once they reach your number on the list and verify your hiring eligibility your # will be changed to "not on an outstanding certification". My brother has a list # in the 1000s range im gonna call for him and see if i get the same message

my list #5** when i called today it still says 5** and dcas dont know when they will call the list.  what does it mean credentials have not been verified?

  13. Considering 3400s are line training already, im sure 35s and 36s are already qualifying and/or have been called for processing. The next 2 months are nonstop hiring months so i honestly wouldnt be surprised if the first few 4600s have already received letters for processing.

just saw 3 training buses back to back on main st. sure is moving fast i hope it will reach my no 5**  by july lol

  14. According to a few experience operators The 60 ft bus are not hard. They're actually easier since the back of the bus follows whatever the front does.

As far Line training goes. Which ever depot you either pick or sent to, You will have to learn the lines that the depot operates.

thx duece. after the routes training does the mta do shadowing before u r officially on ur own? like u and ur trainer take over an another bus driver's route start picking up people?

  15. just saw an arctic training bus in jfk airport today, is it harder to drive the two compartment bus than the regular 40fter? can u pick ur routes u want to train on? can someone share some info on the days after 10 day training period?
