They say 3-90 days but they appoint people to the position by list #. Supposedly they're up to the 200's for medical/final processing. There's no concrete answer for how long it will take since there are many factors involved. i.e how many people they intend to hire, how many turn down the position when called, etc...

Hey @LIRRMedford when you went for pre employment did they give y'all a date for when the July class will start or did they tell you guys June 3rd?

So they are in 200’s for April 23rd class? Did you hear this from a reliable source?

Anyone have any idea when those of us for the presumed June 4 class will get called for medical? Only asking cause on Monday Im going to Amsterdam til the following Sunday and dont wanna miss anything. Hoping its the week of the 22 and not the week of the 16.

What list # are you? I think people in June class would take their medical some time in May

I deferred last week and attempted to get my number restored today.

For those who are planning to defer their appointment in person: You will be given a phone number and the location of DCAS. The phone number is to check for the list number they have reached so far for this exam; I was told they were in the 200s. If your number is less than this, then they have passed your list number and your next step is to arrive at that location to restore your list number. As my number is in the low 300s, I can just come in next Monday to start the pre-employment process. Keep in mind that it can only be Monday of the week; you can't just come in any day on that week.

This is the information I received from the person who answered the phone. Hope this helps.

When you say you were told somewhere in the 200’s do you mean for the April 23rd class or for pre-employment? Im low 300’s as well

I called today and I wasn't scheduled for a medical for that class so they aren't that high yet. I'm in the low 400's. When I went to pre-employment last week we were told most of us would be in the upcoming June class depending on our list number.

Im low 300’s and havent gotten anything either, i hooe they even make it that far by June, cus this April class is only 65 people i believe

When you first go in you just give them the letter, and they will give u a number, you then go on another line where they give u a21 page booklet to fill out at home and three pieces paper you have to fill out there. You go and sit down fill out the paper and wait for your number to be called.once your number is called u go up and give them your completed application along with the documents they requested, sign some more paperwork, and then they send you to lab to do the drug test. Once you are done with the drug test . They tell you to go back to the desk to let them know you are done. When you go to the desk, they tell you that is it, you will get an email within 3 to 30 days with ur results and appointment for medical. You have to bring in that 21 page booklet, completed on the day of ur medical.

I guess so. He took the test back in 2010. He had to do everything the letter is telling us to do. Maybe because he non promo. Could be?.

That's the thing,we only took the test last year, MTA makes people wait minimum 3 years to actually hire, from what I have seen. Its incredible if we would be starting the process right now.

Hello everyone. Finally can reply. I know someone who went for the opa and with in a month he was called back to see doctors and speak to union. He said he was in 45 day total. He was from 8094 test non promo.

Interesting. How long ago was he hired?

Just came out of the OPA exam, had around 35 people. Took 3 hours, counting wait and paperwork etc.

There are 2 parts, 1st part is a recording for the entire class, once audio is played - only then can you look at 5 questions which you mark on a scantron (2 min allowed to answer all 5 and mark them, be quick). 20 total questions split into 4 parts. I don't feel great about how I might have scored. 30 min total.

2nd part is 1 on 1, examiner reads a scenario and shows you one picture. You answer his question. 10 such pictures. Easy stuff. Maybe 10 min total.

I hope both parts are averaged to count toward the 70 passing score.

Don't ask me for exact questions.

I'd say it's a good idea to find some audio memorization type practice tests.

They said results will be mailed... no ETA, so more waiting.

Thanks, so there was no mention of hiring or the class we would go in?
