If you were in the military, they'll give extra points. We have people who scored 102 on the exam so their list number is up there in the single digits. Also, some people could've been placed on medical hold.

For medical, they'll have you do a questionnaire. Then a hearing test, vision test, ekg, and ask about sleep apnea. If all goes well with medical, they'll have you wait in the area where you were in the morning for your interview. There you will find out if you made the class. Fingerprints and photo for your pass will be done that same day.

Thank you for your information. Hopefully they get around to start calling for the June class soon. Really hoping to be in that one

57 total for this class. On the second day, you'll go to the school house where you'll get more paperwork to do. They do give you a paper where it'll ask which division you wish to work. Now, for my class, 7 went to A division (IRT) and the rest went to B division (IND/BMT). They go by list number for seniority. The next class that goes in, most might go to A division.

Any idea the highest list number in your class? What does medical consist of and do you find out that very day your start date?

  3. Anyone have any idea when those of us for the presumed June 4 class will get called for medical? Only asking cause on Monday Im going to Amsterdam til the following Sunday and dont wanna miss anything. Hoping its the week of the 22 and not the week of the 16.

Lmao, you go on the first line to get a ticket number then you go to the employment section on line three. They give you i believe 2 pages of paper , you sit down fill it out and wait for your number to be called. When your number is called, you hand in your paper work  and you get another small packet to fill out 🙄(includes emergency contact, w4, beneficiary etc) you are told to go sit down fill out the packet and wait for your name to be called. Once ur name is called you go to the back of the room to the medical section. Wait for ur number to be called again. Once ur name is called, you get directions to go to a computer to do two mini surveys( medical history yes or no questions) oh and more paper work. When ur finished you go back to the desk, they print out ur survey and you have to wait for the nurse to call ur name. Nurse call ur name, you do a hearing test( put on headphones listen for the sound and and click a button when u hear it). Eye exam, test for protein, blood and sugar in urine, and an ekg. They also weigh you and measure your height because if ur bmi is over a certain amount and ur neck size is over a certain about of inches, you have to go to ur doctor and do a sleep apnea test. You go back to the waiting area and wait for the doctor to call you, he goes over ur results, ask a few questions, nothing much and do muscle strength and balance test. Then he gave me a piece of paper to take back to line 3, they collect ur 21 page booklet and the other mini booklet. You wait for someone to call you, you go into a small office with them. I was told that i would be starting April 23rd and was asked if i was available. I said no, so that’s where it ended for me. I believe the next step would have been fingerprinting. Oh they asked for ur ids ( us passport, or birth certificate, along with social and state id). The end lol.

Thank you for your input. So if you pass everything they tell you right then what class you gonna be in? Thats good . How long was the whole day for you?

So i finished my medical, passed it but i deffered my time to the next available class. The class starts on April 23rd by the way, not the 22nd. The medical is good for 3 months

Good for you! What did the medical consist of? You got there at 7? Tell me everything lol

  6. My experience yesterday was pretty much like everyone else. My appointment was for 7:30 but I got there at 7:10. You go up to the 5th floor wait in the 1st line. You just give your letter and then you receive a ticket. You then go around the corner to another counter and give them your letter again. They take it and give you this long ass packet they call homework and then a clipboard. On the clipboard there are papers you fill out immediately and then other papers you fill out later in the day. Once everyone is in, a lady comes out and explains the position and what to expect during training. She said this is the 1st wave of people and that if everything goes good, probably looking at the June 3 class. After that I went to the bathroom but when I came back another lady  was going over those 2nd set of papers on the clipboard. I'm not gonna say shes mean but she is quite direct and blunt. She didn't like when people were talking when she was. So when she comes up just follow along with her (or fake it). After that they begin calling your numbers to review all your documents. As long as you have everything you then get sent to take the drug test which as mentioned before is a urine sample. This was the longest part of the day for me. Literally sat in there for about 2.5-3 hours. Luckily soon as I went in there I had to pee so I didn't have to stay any longer. After that you go back out to the 2nd desk and they tell you you're done. Look out for an email or phone call anywhere from 3-90 days for your results.

  7. Checked my mail and what do I find?? A letter to come in Thursday! Yay. 7:30 am though?? Sheesh.

Quick question: so it says I need my birth certificate . Now my original birth certificate I sent off because Im in the process of getting my passport. So they hold it til they finish. But I have numerous copies of it. Can I just bring a copy? What do you guys think I should do?

I get that some of you are frustrated with how long everything is taking, but please don't start spreading misinformation. If you search in some other employment threads you'll see that soon after people found out they were on O/C they started getting letters to start the employment process.

Thanks for that clarification. Good news to hear
