  1. Thanks for sharing Jericho. I think you mentioned having a thick neck. Are you saying that was not a deal breaker for them. Really appreciate the update.
  2. Congrats. Thanks for the update. I'm 118*. I'd really like to get into that August class with you.
  3. Consider the cost/benefit of doing the outpatient thing and still being told no. There’s a thread on here from a guy who failed the drug test for the LIRR. Sounds like they made him jump through the outpatient hoops and still told him no. I suspect a single failed drug test opens up a can of liability issues for them. Still, I hope for your sake, they’re willing to give second chances.
  4. You guys think they’ll get past 1200 for the August class?
  5. Just enjoy your summer and stop sweating the 2nd PE. They’re so far away from your number that it makes no sense to even think about it. I’m in the 1100’s and I don’t think I’ll make the August class. You probably won’t be called until next year.
  6. Quiet for the holiday weekend. They’ll probably start calling people again for medicals next week. It seems like they give people a chance to clear their medical holds and that has slowed things down. August’s class, if there is one, may only reach into the 1100’s. Just my take.
  7. Thanks. If your take on this is correct, I'll have to change my travel plans. I would have sworn they wouldn't reach the 11**'s until August. It sounds like they'd have to go through 150 people to get there by July. Are you saying that many people get called and don't take the job. I wonder why?
  8. I see your logic. What happens if you're away when you get the notice to report for the medical? Can you just go in when you get back or do you have to defer?
  9. I highly doubt 1100's will be in the July class. I'm 118* and I am not even sure about the August class. Why do you think we'd make the July class?
  10. Thanks for this. It's helpful. Did they tell you the maximum blood pressure one can have?
  11. Did you test too high? Don’t you need a doctor’s note saying it’s under control if that happens? What’s the blood pressure limit?
  12. This is helpful. Thanks. Do you remember if the medical survey only asked you about procedures less than 10 years old? There is literally no paperwork for operations people had 20 years ago.
  13. Here for preemployment. You really do have to arrive at 6 am if you don’t want be here all day. Line is long. Glad I came early.
  14. Won’t they allow you to be cleared to work if another surgeon examines you and gives you the ok? Is it because the surgery was recent?
  15. Is it any surgery, operations in childhood, or only recent surgeries?
  16. Question about the P/E package. If you don’t have names or numbers for supervisors from twenty years ago is that unacceptable? Some companies have gone out of business. Some jobs in college I don’t remember well. I got the SS printout but it only gives the names of companies. Anyone else have this issue?
  17. I’m doing the P/E on the 6th with a list # in the 1100’s. Can someone answer a few questions about the medical. Weight - clothes and shoes on or off? Height - shoes on or off. Neck Size - if you’re right at 17 does that put you on hold? The reason I ask is because I’m tall and am near the cutoff point for most of the tests. Also is it BMI greater than 35 and neck greater than 17 or will exceeding either put you on hold? Thanks.
  18. Has anyone over 116* been called for the recent P/E’s?
  19. Thanks. Do you have to submit the job history info the day of the P/E or is that taken home?
  20. Thanks for the advice Imhim. I'll call them tomorrow. Do you know the documents required for the P/E?
  21. So my list # is 11**. I didn't get a letter or call for pre-employment. I appealed and had my appeal approved but no letter for pre-employment. Anyone know the highest list number they called for the recent P/E's?
  22. I put in an appeal about six months ago. They said I did not graduate high school when I actually have a college degree. Today I received the judgement on my appeal. They accepted my college degree. Just waiting to find out my list number. They said they'd mail that to me later. Hope everyone else who appealed gets good news.
  23. Has anyone heard back about an appeal? I called today and they said most people with appeals haven't been added to the list since most appeals haven't been processed yet. Apparently they were swamped with appeals. In my case I graduated high school overseas but have an American college degree and mailed my transcript in. Haven't heard back yet.
  24. How does the appeal process work? If they disqualify you incorrectly and you produce paperwork will they give you a list# based on test score. Are the list numbers set in stone already? Thanks.
