Exams are good for four years once they are established. If you click here and type in 3306, 3307, 8302 & 8321 in the search box on the top right, all of these lists have been published, however they're only working with one list at a time.
Exam 3306, which was established this past August, has an expiration date of August of 2022 according to the link above.
Just seen that, btw letters got sent out with the exam info I got it this week, also have any of you sent out letters to DCAS in regauards of the “selective certification” ???

in the single digits! from doing the research for the past MVO exams it looks like we have some time until they hire from this exam 8321. other MVO exams are good until end of next year and another one is good until 2022. off hand forgot the exact exam numbers those are. but good luck to all now the waiting game begins...
Which ones cause the 3306-3307 should be over for. I just checked the filling period which was 012-013 it’s about to be 2019. Those should be done for by now

I can just forget about this job then. All you guys are young. By the time they call me I will be a senior citizen!!!
I checked the filling period, exams are good for 4 years right ? Well filling was 012-013, I’m guessing the calling started in 2014 because the list establishes a few months after the test. So it’s either expired or is about to.

Same, depends on you’re list number, if it’s low I’d do vacay time for the 10 day training.

As it states on the bottom of this page, for one of the Bus Operator Exams: "Please note that candidates that have already successfully completed the BOSS for another exam number (e.g., 7105, 7300) within the last year were not invited because they do not need to complete BOSS again for Exam No. 7612."
This makes sense since the last time I recall taking the BOSS was approximately last December. Therefore, as far as retaking the BOSS exam, it all depends on when you took the last BOSS examination.
Yeah true I didn’t even look at the bottom, I took it this year thou, next boss is scheduled in a couple of months. Long story short we get a different list number for it right ?

Please stay on-topic as per the guidelines of the website. Although it is encouraged to take every exam, the last thing this site needs is for one member to start talking about a different exam in a different thread/topic, and then other members join in and make the 'potential' mess even more messier.
Thank you.
No prob. question do you know when exam lists expire ? Say we have a high list # for the 7300 is there a certain number that you’d think they would get up to?

Just got an admissions letter for the boss 9100, I guess you have to retake it even if you’ve taken the exam before

My list number for 7300 is in 1400s. I have not gotten a list number for 7105 or 7612 as of yet
Did you have to retake the boss ? I heard you get a random list number if you took it recently

Yea, it’s just a waiting game at this point. I feel it will be soon.
True, yo 9100 is out and another is dropping mid August. I’m doing them all just to see if I can get lucky with a lower list #

Question, when you apply for other exams you are given a random number without taking the boss exam again right ?

Definitely!! The purpose of the part-time Bus Operator, IMHO, is to get your foot. As @SevenEleven said in this post, once you pass training, you won't have to go through that again.
In addition, with the OA exams, as it says in the third post, we will be given a random list number. So if your list number for 7300 and 7105 is high, and you didn't do that well on exam 7612, but get a low random list number for this exam, then you'll be good to go!!
List numbers are random no? Isn’t it a pass or fail not a score for the boss

Eh not bad, I do wonder how long it will take for them to reach our list numbers

My list #7xx. I didn't have to take the boss. I was exempt from taking it due to taking it and passing it for other exams, all within the same year.
Gotcha didn’t know it worked like that for the MTA. What made you decline ?

Question? I recently declined this position, and I plan on reinstating my name to the list at a later date. How many times can I decline and reinstate my name to the list? A more clearer question, can I reinstate and decline every 4 months?
What list # were you ? Not sure, if it works like general city exams my best guess is you will have to retake the Boss unless your score remains active. I did the same with NYPD traffic but didn’t bother with it again.
