It’s always good to have a base understanding of the signals. Just don’t delve too deep into it because the signal guide/rulebooks might not have it down how the TSS wants you to remember them. Also - schoolcar is a lot, but it’s certainly not that hard as long as you study and put the effort in.

When does one get the study material for school car? On day one orientation or on the 2nd day at the school?

I chose the rockports since most folks gave that some good reviews and states its comfortable.

Shirts, I was thinking golf polo’s (sweat wicked) since I sweat like no tomorrow. It all depends on what our instructors mention since a member here recently said they’re changing the short sleeve polo policy.

are they picky with what shade of grey for shirts and blue for pants, Light/Dark? Any recommendations for pants?

    Thank you

Yes, I know, I am on the website, the green paper does not specify which kind of boots one needs. It just provides the link and the instructions.

I’m in for Aug 19th, got sworn in today.

would've been a quick medical but the lady giving out the paperwork messed up a few peoples and gave us missing documents. Left around 1:30pm ish and got there at 7:10am.

no mention of a September class, they were hush on it.

    See you on 8/19.

Came back from medical. Turns out, I would've been sworn in today if I hadn't done the sleep test. Now MTA wants the results which I'll hopefully have by the end of the week. I believe I read a couple posts here stating they have medical next week so I'm not too worried...

Is there a reason you were given a sleep test?

They ask you to fill two questionnaires, one ask about your medical history the other is about sleep apnea. Then they call you in to do a series of tests which includes a vision this test for sight and depth perception, if you wear glasses you do the tests first without your glasses than with them. They measure your blood pressure, measure your height, weight. They then do a EKG test on you they test your urine for diabetes they test your hearing. Once all the tests are concluded the doctor calls you in he goes over the test results with you if it's satisfactory he gives you a white piece of paper saying that you passed medical if it's unsatisfactory you are placed on medical hold until you resolve whatever issue that needs to be resolved. My advice don't volunteer too much information.

So of you pass medical, does one get sworn in that same day or does one have to come back for orientation. Reason I ask is because I want to give my current employer enough time for my notice.

Received what I've been waiting for in the mail. Doctors appointment on Monday and I should be cleared Tuesday morning if the mta doctor finds everything satisfactory. Let's get it!

    List number?

  9. I conducted the the 2nd PE this morning. Everything went well, I heard Mercado state July and August classes. He gave an overview of the position we’re applying for and what life will be for us in the first years as a T/O. I didn’t have to fill out the paperwork in the brown envelope (homework) but I had to fill out the employment history again, luckily I had made copies of the history the first time I went for P/E, it made things easier for me. I also took extras with me in case of a 3rd PE. The crowed today was pretty chill, everyone was cooperative and staff was helpful, the security lady was funny and supportive.Today went by fast. I’m sure I’ll be back for a 3rd PE along with a others before medical. Maybe the early 1100’s will be picked up by autumn 🍂, just in time for the World Series. Take care guys. Let’s continue to stay focus on the end goal. Stay healthy and in shape.
