The license requirements can be found on page two of the Notice of Examination which can be viewed here and at the top of this thread.
As far as previous moving violations: You cannot have more than four [4] points and you can have two accidents max, whether you were at fault or not. As far as suspensions, DWI, DUI, etc., you will not be able to proceed if you have any of these on your abstract within the past three [3] years.
Offhand, are you unsure of what your abstract contains for the past three [3] years? If so, you can always run off your abstract online. Click here for more details.
In addition, as a result of this incident taking place, I compared the abstracts they run off with my own abstract which I obtained online, and it's the exact same information which is contained in the standard driving record, or abstract. You don't have to pay extra $$ to run off your CDL abstract or your lifetime driving abstract, unless you want to, respectively.
Hey Young , how sure are you about that 3yr mark ? Would you possibly have a number for Livingston or somewhere I can call to get more info

It is not too late, since this particular list does not expire until October of 2022. When you're ready to restore your name to the list, click here for information on how to do so. It's easier than it looks. And yes, your list number stays the same, and this is what the folks at 180 Livingston Street go by when processing candidates, filling up classes, etc.
Hope this helps.
Yea it did thanks a lot !

Hello everyone ,
so I was put on medical hold back in March-April I believe and I won’t be able to continue the process because of my current job l, untill after January when I can get more time off and actually dedicate myself on trying to get this job
my question is that to late? Have I already lost my opportunity ?
I heard something about about you never lose your list number or something like that
thanks you in advance !

The pay at the moment is 23 and some change for new hires. We are in a middle of a new contract negotiation since the current contract expires this May 2019.
I can say as far salary goes, It all determine on the operator. I myself this year was able to achieve triple the amount I was suppose to earn. But that took dedication with doing Over Time and double ups. Thanks to the L shuttle and others
How long untill your first raise ? & how much ?
been at my job for almost 8yrs really trying to figure out if I should leave or not , I don’t know if I can get a leave of absence for the 10day training that starts Monday and with not having any experience with busses I don’t know how good my chances are of passing the training

Only the people out of the list that pass all screenings and training....up to 200. When they fill the 200, we have to wait for the next time vacancies open up again.
Thanks

It just tells the number of vacancies, also known as open positions, that need to be filled. If you type into Google "vacancy definition," the first definition is "an unoccupied position or job."
I know what vacancies mean , but like i said before since its only 200 does that mean only 200 of the 1463 will be hired ?

This means, that the demographics of approximately 1,463 people have been sent to the Human Resources Department. Out of these 1,463 people, whoever is successful in getting through the pre-employment process between the drug test, physical, final processing and the 10-day training session will get the job.
Keep in mind they go by list number order and those on the B/O 4600 list have the first priority, since that list is older compared to this one.
Ohh ok thank you , but what about the 200 vacancies whats that about ?

I have good news for you folks!!
If you check out the NYC Civil Service List Certification page, followed by typing in "07612" in the search box on the top right, on February 6th (yesterday) the agency "certified" those candidates whose list number range from 14 to 1,463. Now if you look at the far right side of the chart, they say they only have 200 vacancies available. However, just like with all of the other civil service examinations I took, you start out with a high certification sequence number, and then as it gets lower, the agency will make an effort to get in contact with you one way or another.
Good luck everyone!!
What do you mean list was certified ? , does that mean that only 200 out of the 1463 will be hired ?
