What if you genuinely missed one work history that was years ago or just forgot when exactly you were hired for it etc. They wouldn’t make an exception? I’m just wondering cause not sure how many people have that perfect of a memory to remember back to when they finish high school.

Definitely hit up the social security office ASAP whenever you have the chance. Get that replacement and the next day just show up really early at 6am. Doors open at 6:30am and just say you’re there to finish up your pre-employment since you were missing one document. Then go from there. I know May 16th is the current class and I believe after that it’s in June from what I read in the previous posts.

Update: Just came in to have my medical hold release. I had come in originally on 5/2 to do Medical. Passed everything but something had come up and had to be placed on medical hold. I had that taken care of during the week. They say to email to make an appointment and I was not going to wait over a week and miss out on my appointed date of 5/16. So I decided to come in today with documentation to release my medical hold. Came in at 6:30am and right now just leaving being sworn in, fingerprints taken and Photo ID taken. Starting 5/16 and hope to see some of you on Monday. List#: 34xx

That’s awesome! How you like it so far seeing that it’s been 4 years. I’m sure you’ve been through it all. I have a class for 5/16 but currently on Medical Hold. Going in on Tuesday to have it cleared and hopefully start the following Monday.

That’s crazy. I think they are more lenient with TOs because when I went for Bus Operator back in 2018 they were saying minimum is 4 points to even be considered for employment. Anything more was a red flag for them and wouldn’t hire you. Until that was gone or reduced.

You see. I thought that would be it. Just test me with contacts and glasses. But this other doctor came in and said they have to test me all 3. Contacts, Glasses and Nothing. I’m like huh but I won’t see as well. She’s like yea it’s because you’re going for TO. I’m like ok sure. But I passed it so yea.

Oh wow so yea you were literally on that one week. I got one extra so yea you’re right I may just clear it on time. Im praying 🙏🏽 that I do. Really looking forward to this. My vision test was strange they made me test with my contacts, with my glasses and then without any of them.

Damn. Yea that’s what I am afraid of. I mean it is what it is if I miss it but I also want to just start on the date they gave me. Like I said right after my medical hold yesterday I went to my doctors to have this taken care of. So now I’m doing a follow up tomorrow and Thursday to make sure. So i’m hoping to go to transit next week so I can make it for my 5/16 class.

Yea I got really lucky. Not sure if it’s because I was called before. Because I had originally a pre employ back in March 23rd. But I couldn’t make it since the email went to spam and I wasn’t aware. So I contacted them immediately and they contacted me a week after telling me to go on 4/20 and so I did and took care of everything that day. Had my forms signed and filled before goin in.

Nice. You should get a call back for medical within 2-4 weeks like everyone has been saying. I went in for pre employ on 4/20 and was called on 4/28 to come in for medical for 5/2. So they are moving along fairly quick. Just have this hiccup on the medical leave which I know will be taken care of but i’m hoping transit gets back to me fast on the email.

No biggie. And honestly I saw the sign in sheet. It was a lot for buses. For TO I only saw about 4-5 names including myself. Believe we were there for medical all of us. But it was a lot of buses and some track workers.

I went in yesterday for Medical. But was put on hold. Going to get that taken care of and following up with my own physician tomorrow. Hopefully transit gets back to me ASAP after sending them that email they told me to send. So I can make it to my 5/16 class. List #34xx

I figured that. But I went to pre-employment without it and they didn’t say a word. I mean I was in the system before so they must know I have it. Yea, it says it in the email they sent. Either have one of those if you have the original to bring it in. But I know I didn’t bring it in before and like I said they did not say a word of it. I bought everything else except that. I do have a HS diploma. But I don’t physically have it with me. I know I went in for pre-employment and they did never mentioned it about seeing it. I have proof that I did receive it but I don’t have the physically copy of it on hand.

Question guys/girls they ask to bring in your original copy of High School Diploma/GED/College Degree. HAS ANYONE HERE NOT BOUGHT IT IN? I did not bring it in my pre-employment but I know it’s asking for it going to Medical.

I know probationary period is 1 year. I wanted to ask if that is included with the training or does it start after your training. I assumed with the training since there’s two types which end either 5 months or close to 7.

I see. Yea it would make sense. I believe I may drive in for a few and once i’m a bit more settled in I guess i’ll take public transportation and just give myself a good amount of time to go into work.

I was just going to ask this question too. So after 231 days of school car that’s when you get to pay?

Gotcha, I will keep that in mind and yea I think i’ll drive the first week and just go about hour or hour and half earlier so I can find street parking or at least first few days after asking instructor or the yard about parking inside.
