Thanks for all the information it’s very much appreciated. You know how it is when yu new and you tryna figure things out and be ahead. I’ll rather be over prepared than under prepared. For anything In life. That’s for sure. Another question they asking me to scan the code to upload my vaccination card and it’s telling me ny birth date/ BSC ID is wrong. Tried numerous amount of times. Will it be a big deal ? I’ll keep trying each day but it’s not working at all but I was able to order my shoes with my BSC ID

When I passed medical and got sworn in I did not receive any kind of pass to ride the subway/bus free. I’ve heard some people received that during the medical process. Maybe they forgot about it ? Or they switched up on how they do things ? I took my picture got finger printed and was told I can leave . I’m confused on when I receive my pass

From anyones personal experience who’s in schoolcar or already went through schoolcar what would you’ll recommend to bring and have on a daily basis ? Weather it’s a notebook to take notes certain kind of bag to carry etc anything 180 don’t tell us to bring ?? Thank you in advance

Another question do anyone think it’s best to invest in a laptop through schoolcar ? Or everything will be hands on and inside of a actual book ? Is it worth buying a laptop ? Or can I make it without one ? I do have an iPhone though. Just thinking

@Jericho I believe just the “Benefits Orientation Package” they asking us to bring for first day. Someone correct me if I’m wrong but I believe everything else we can read of tablet/phone etc

Quick update. List #47 .. Passed my medical today. Got sworn in and they want new hires to print the booklets out because they don’t have any physical copies. So plenty of pages to print but idk if I’m going to honestly. But anyways good luck to whoever is doing medical. Appointment was for 6:30 I left at 12. Wasn’t bad at all.

Quick update. I received my conditional offer email for medical & class on October 3rd. Do I have to print and fill out ALL THREE PDFS they sent to me with that email ? Thank you

@Schecter very well put. It’s almost like you have to live your life how yu been living it before transit called/emailed you. Put it in the back of your mind and one day you’ll get that email for further processing. It’s a wait game for sure. Any city job won’t be as quick as we want it to be.

@Amonroe90 I thought about that but I also thought about how maybe they don’t want to put people through medical not knowing the results of their drug test.

It’s been a while since someone posted that they been called/emailed for medical. This process is long and annoying lol

@ealfinez couldn’t have said it any better than that. I’m not in yet but from what’s being said about the job throughout this forum I understand it takes a strong mindset ,patience, dealing with adversity, sacrificed time. Friends party’s clubs can wait. I want the money and benefits and to actually learn to drive a train. I survived some tough jobs just as described with being A T/O. I’m mentally prepared for it. Just waiting for my turn. A lot of people tend to want things handed to them before they can work for it. Those kind of people won’t make it.
