Been such a hassle. So I sent in documents for medical hold and now I have to email DCAS for name to be restored to list. Send help!

Went back and ran my blood. Got my lab results back for A1C. Went from a 8.5 to a 7.5 😩. Doctor signing my paperwork for me next week.

That’s amazing. Yes I do have an endocrinologist as well. Haven’t seen him in over 6 months because my PCP has been treating me. Endo cut his hours and getting an appt seemed so difficult😮‍💨. I have an appointment with him in the middle of July. I try to walk a lot. I also do just dance and use my ring fit to stay as active as possible plus it’s fun and entertaining lol especially for my kids

Thank you 🙏. I’m trying 😂. My PCP said he’s going to do another test so hopefully I’ll have better numbers this go around. But yea it’s definitely doable. When I just found out I had diabetes it was over 12 and with hard work and dedication I got it down to 6. The good ole days. Haha.

Didn’t get any OPA results to be honest. Olha called, I missed the call and dialed back and she told me to look out for an email with further instructions.

Hi. Yes I was able to complete my sleep study at home. I was on medical hold because they claimed I had high chances of sleep apnea. The office did it twice because the first study the AHI was low and they were confused as to why I was sent in. I repeated and it still came back low so they gave me a letter along with the results to submit. The second thing was that they wanted bloodwork from my doctor for my A1C. I went to urgent care came back 8.5. Not sure if they’ll accept that but I need my doctor to sign off on that and fill the form out. I’ll try to do that by next week.

Just wanted to update. I’m submitting my paperwork this week and hopefully it will clear my medical hold. Sleep study done twice and AHI for sleep apnea was within normal range 😮‍💨.

Is there any updates on when the next class will be? I did my sleep study and apparently I have to redo it 😩. At this point I’m thinking about doing it somewhere else because they’re dragging their feet.

It honestly depends. I took my OPA in September, I didn’t even get any results. Like many have stated once you speak and understand English you’re good to go. I got called back 6 months after doing my OPA to do my drug test and then 7 weeks after drug test, I got called in for my medical. Congrats and good luck 😊

I really had forgot about this exam but they text me to come in for an OPA in a few weeks. What should I expect? If I do pass the OPA how soon can I expect a call back?
