New timetables will be posted for the following NJ TRANSIT Bus Routes:

    Bus Route Nos. 5, 8, 63, 64, 67, 68, 79, 80, 87, 102, 105, 107, 119, 133, 156, 159, 400, 409, 412, 419, 468, 502, 505, 507, 508, 509, 553, 554, 559, 606, 702, 705, 707, 709, 722, 744, 746, 748, 751, 752, 753, 755, 756, 758, 762, 772, 780, 871,872, 873, 874, 875, 878, and 880.
Please note the following service changes:

On the bus routes mentioned above, trip times and service levels have been adjusted to reflect the current travel experience and improve reliability.

No. 64 (weekdays): Bus No. 64 will no longer serve Jersey City. Service levels will be adjusted to better match passenger needs.
No. 68 (weekdays): Service levels will be adjusted to better match passenger needs.
No. 79 (Sundays): Trip times for service to Newark will be adjusted to better match passenger needs.
No. 119 (daily): Bus No. 119 will no longer serve Journal Square Transportation Center from 4:30AM to 11PM. For these times, please use MyBus stop #20818 on JFK Boulevard between Tonnelle Avenue and Bergen Avenue for service to New York or MyBus stop #30232 on JFK Boulevard between Tonnelle Avenue and Bergen Avenue for service to Bayonne.
No. 468 (weekdays and Saturdays): Routing will be adjusted due to a long-term construction project on Hawks Bridge Road.

Damm 64 no longer serves JC… Make’s sense tho since the intra-commuter routes have the worst post-COVID ridership recovery rate

Hearing a rumor that NFI has built five new NJT artics. They're probably going to be delivered to NJT soon.

Also another rumor is that some of the 6500s from Coach USA are supposedly going to Hilton and Orange.

All of this information are just rumors so take this all with a grain of salt.

Those are probably 5 of the last 60 buses from that 85 option that was ordered in 2019

Thats no issue...Fairview has enough space...They started giving fairview 45 fts early last year to train the drivers on how to deal with 45 footers...Fairview also gonna be a merge garage in the near future with market st and oradell...Thats also a reason why Market street started to learn Fairviews routes..

So that’s why I’m seeing more and more Market trippers on the 159

Fairview makes no dam sense to begin with. It’s a full service depot, everyone is running late because they have to keep making change for a $1.50 fare, and the MCI’s are just the icing on the cake. I wouldn’t mind the MCI’s on the X variations, but on local routes is insanity.

The 159X doesn’t really need MCI’s either, because all it does is run non stop on Blvd East between PABT and 60th Street, goes up 60th Street, turns on Bergenline and runs local till Fairview Garage, where it terminates

  5. Does anyone know why Academy continues to do route learning runs that shadow NJT route 88, saw one of their Orion VII OG shadowing the 88 earlier this morning, and then months past, I seen their nova buses and their new flyer D40LFs shadowing the 88 as well. So can anyone explain why the Academy continues to do route learning runs on the 88? A route they have it ran since June 2021.

PS: I’ll post a picture of the OG in the photo thing

That is a Camden ( Newton Avenue) bus; rode many times.  I am guessing it is not coming back.  What happened with the former AC and Coach USA buses?  I don't see that the rest of the former AC buses have been placed in service yet.

The former A&C buses that are currently sitting in the Meadowlands Boneyard are currently awaiting for space to be made in the CMF in order to prep them for NJT service, same goes for the former Coach buses sitting in the Elizabeth Lot (of which 6 have already gone through this process and are already in service with NJT)
