  1. They rushed us up for the ID photo because that person left at 4. Then sent us back down to be called normally for fingerprints
  2. Hey guys I have orientation this coming Monday. Does anyone know if we need to be in uniform for that? And any tips for School car? What type of bag I should get and things like that. Thanks in advance
  3. Thanks for the info guys. I got in touch with them and they spelt my email wrong so I never got it
  4. Can anyone tell me if there is a money order involved in the medical process and if so how much is needed. I was called by Olha who said she was sending me an email with instructions for medical this Monday and mentioned a money order but I never got an email. I emailed employment operations but they take 3 days to email back. I'm not trying to get a message Sunday night telling me to be there Monday morning with a money order or something I don't have
  5. Lmao for me they went from 8 to 7:30 and now 6:30. You got this brother best of luck
  6. For anyone doing the pre employment paperwork. Don't print it out double sided. I watched them tell around 20 people to redo their papers the first time I did pre employment
  7. What time are they telling you to go in? I got my letter to come in Monday at 6:30AM, I was thinking/hoping that can't be the right time
  8. I'm not 100% sure. When I told her I was cleared but the paper wasn't reviewed by their doctors she told me to hold on to the papers for when I get restored. So it was implied that the papers would still be valid to clear but wasn't explicitly stated. She did say 100% drug and medical would have to be done again no matter what. Can't wait to sit in a chair for nine and a half hours again so I can pee in a cup and leave
  9. It's incredibly frustrating dealing with a system this inefficient. Sad that it took them that long to call you back but I'm happy you got your call
  10. Personal gripe section-I was called in for medical on 2/23/24. And placed on medical hold for a sleep apnea study because I met the criteria. Apparently the criteria is that I answered that I've snored in the past 5 years. I know I don't have sleep apnea, the MTA doctor is telling me I don't have sleep apnea. But that doesn't matter I have to be put on medical hold. I scheduled, took the sleep study, and got my results back all within 11 days (surprise no sleep apnea). Still not enough time to make the last class they had available on 3/5/24. Wild that their own doctor isn't enough to overrule me needing to be put on medical hold. Now I'm left in limbo to wait and see IF there's another class at some point. Missed out on a job because of bullshit basically. No one knows how to waste your time like the city Information section-I spoke to employment operations this morning of 3/12/24. I was told there are currently no more classes scheduled, they are turning over the list back to the city, and to email DCAS in a weeks time to have my name restored to the list. Also that upon restoration any medical records they had would be void, drug/medical, so it would currently be a waste of my time to bring in paperwork to get cleared of the medical hold. So for anyone currently on medical hold, hold on to any paperwork and emails related to it. You may need to be cleared a second time, go through drug and medical additional times as well. Hope this helps someone
  11. Hey everyone first time reading and posting here, so forgive me if this has been answered elsewhere. I have my OPA scheduled for the 13th of this month but I'm a little unsure of the time frame for this hiring process. My invitation form states upon passing I will be "immediately" processed for consideration and submit to a drug and medical screening. But I've seen posts from people waiting months before they hear back about their OPA results. What are the steps and a realistic time frame from taking the OPA to starting classes? Thank you in advance to anyone who responds, much appreciated.
