  1. I'm not. I have a couple of useful sources. MTAISCOOL09 is actually a very reliable youtuber, also, some sites (not like Wikipedia) are reliable, too. Those are where I get my info from.
  2. Sounds like a 'Kawasaki only' thing! They basically do whatever they want with their rolling stock!
  3. OKAY, I didn't know that. I thought they were supposed to do it in order, but I guess when it's ready, it's ready. It's gonna get delivered.
  4. My mistake. I know it had door malfunctions, though
  5. It had to redo the test is what i feel like some of you are not getting. It rescheduled to do the tests on April 13th and redid it's first day on April 14th, and I believe day 30 is on May 14th. Also, there are other YouTubers out there that have true info, not just DJ Hammers. I'm still confused on why 4110-4114 are sitting to get picked up and delivered when we don't even have 4090 yet...okay, i feel like I know, nvm
  6. I mean it is a problem though, right? Okay, maybe not that big of a problem, like the malfunctions, but at least the pilot set for the 211s didn't do what the 179s did.
  7. No. It redid the test on April 14th because of breakdowns, homeless people on the train, and malfunctions. I think the test ends on May 13th, then after that, it hopefully will pass.
  8. It would have still been like that if it weren't for it though, favorite childs switched when it was activated. Haha! I feel like the R might get like 3 R211 trains off the 2nd option order, but beside that, that's it for Broadway. The A/C/B/D/SIR are gonna get the most out of any train.
  9. And O...kay...we didn't even get to the 4100 series yet... and Like Fan Railer said not even past 4090...This is going by pretty fast.
  10. No, It's probably on Friday and Saturday. You could be right, though. Every pilot set was delivered between nights of the 28th and the 29th of a month. The first R211A pilot set was delivered between June 28-29th, 2021, and the first R211T pilot set was delivered between October 28-29t, 2022, so the MTA might do the same pattern again with the R211S pilot cars. That's what I think.
  11. You're absolutely right...Sorry. I should have known. It's like the N/Q/W are the most forgotten lines bc of the rolling stock they run. It's like the R is the MTA's favorite Broadway child. XD
  12. That's what they would have to get on the IND unfortunately, or maybe just pass them to Broadway, like smart MTA. the MTA would be dumb if they left some 68s on CBTC equipped parts of the B/D/F/M.
  13. Who knows, maybe most 68s will be sitting at CIY or something because of CBTC, but CBTC and the 68s can communicate somehow, hopefully.
  14. Agreed. Only 59 out of the 64 are in service now because of derailments and parts breaking down. Soon, most of the SIR cars will be out of shape. That's why the first R211S cars are getting delivered later on this week, towards Friday and Saturday.
  15. Oh my god, guess where we traveled back too...anyone know?
  16. That's basically what I'm saying! I don't wanna see 68s replaced by 211s. If you read my second statement, the R68s will not be replaced by the R211s and I can guarantee that! Just because fleet expansion cars can be used for R68 replacement does not mean the MTA is gonna do it. And the MTA is more focused on the lil 81-85 cars than the 75ft 86-88 cars. (you will truly get it if you are an actual railfanner, you just know so much about the MTA you also get it)
  17. PLUS, we already have more than 1100 R211 cars being built, and I'm pretty sure none of them are gonna be used for R68 replacement, it'sjust fro fleet expansion becuase god knows what happens when the MTA has a car shortage.
  18. No R68s are planned to or are being replaced! This order is only to replace R44 SIR cars and R46s on the NYC subway! Why are we looking forward to R68/A replacement if the MTA has to replace the R62s first? The 62s are older, and need replacement more than the R68s do. I wonder if an R353 is gonna exist for the R68s to get replaced (it probably won't, there's a highly impossible chance I'm correct) , but this is only to replace R46s for the NYC subway. The MTA would have to order more R211 cars for like 5 billion dollars including option orders, and the MTA isn't really good in funde as somebody said earlier, so I'd rather ride a R68 right now than see it getting replaced by the SAME ROLLING STOCK THAT IS REPLACING ITS FRIEND!!! There is no such thing in the NYC subway as 'If I die, you're coming too.' As you can clearly see, there is no R160s on the SIR, the 32s didn't get taken down the entire way by the 38s, This is not happening between the 46s and the 68s. I'm pretty sure that the 68/As can live for another 10 years or so. So that's my opinion on whatever everyone is saying. The R68/As can be left alone and let the 211s do their job as successors of the 46s.
  19. It is going to be 5 car sets. the R211Ss are 60 feet and like you said the order calls for 75 cars, so it is going to be 15 5-car sets if you didn't know. Just a quick answer. Not judging.
  20. I have never ridden a 46 but I can see that they are very dirty but Like i said i have never ridden one. It's been over 12 years since I have gone to NYC in general, so I barely know what the subway system ACTUALLY looks like, but I know some parts. I think CIY, 207 and Pitkin are equal. Its the same fleet, so almost all cars are in bad shape. I think the MTA might b working on preserving some of the cars, though, so that's good.
  21. That's why the pilot train needs to complete its revenue testing so the production trains can also be delivered and in service. Now this is just a warning to see bc we need this revenue test completed and the production cars to be in service FAST! Same thing happening to the SIR. Recently, 2 SIR cars were taken out of service, being 399 and 466. now instead of 64 cars, I believe 59 remain, though. We need this base order delivered FAST!
  22. Alright! That solves my problem...for now...
  23. Yeah. I get what you mean though. I just have one question. Some people say that 4055-59 already got delivered to NYCTA property. Is this true or are they still at Nebraska?
  24. I agree. I've seen a lot of those lately. I don't usually think it's going to run on the (Insert line here that it usually wouldn't run on). That is just tests when the pilot trains are at pitkin, and usually have these tests around 10:00 in the morning, so, yeah. I'm still waiting for the 4085-89 delivery. How long can it take? I am not a foamer, but it's kinda weird for me to see a train not delivered around the first 5 car set for that train is already delivered.
