This is insane. The only good thing about this MTA gig is pension and more opportunity. I have to clear medical & I’ll have to wear a CPAP for 30 days. This is just insane. It’s wild how they run stuff. i took the bus yesterday and the driver of the bus was way heavier than me. I’m confused about how they run stuff. Good luck hopefully you go in soon. Least the list doesn’t expire until next yr.

After your medical expired how did you find out if your name was still on the list? Also once you cleared did you email them? Or just showed up to their office?

After my medical expires will they remove me off the list? I’m not sure exactly what happens after my medical expires. Hope the hiring list doesn’t expire also

My medical is going to expire on the 12 of April. I’m hoping I can get the treatment than reach back to the MTA

Has anyone taking a sleep test and has sleep apnea? If so how did you go about it to get cleared?

I personally think I F***ed big time I had my sleep test last night and I did have few cups of wine. SMH. Point is my results came back off. I’m schedule to see the sleep doctor at bluesleep this week coming. I’m hoping I can explain to her i had some wine the night of and if it is possible to retake the test. 😤😤😤. If not than I guess I’ll have to get treatment and my opportunity will be blown. I am totally sure I’m not the first person that had some wine not being aware it would trigger it.

Understood, thank you. I just emailed them hopefully they get back to me. My medical clearance is until April 12th. Hopefully I do get cleared and could email the MTA, than show up in person before the 12th

Has anyone taking a home sleep test with blue sleep? If so how long did it take to receive the results? I just did my home sleep test last night.

What is posting? I keep hearing about doing postings. I heard of it when I went into the MTA building. Just now sure what it is.

I’m taking my sleep test this week. They gave me 90 days, if I clear it I’m reaching out thru email & than showing up to the office. It makes no sense for them to send ppl on medical hold & than they don’t get an opportunity. If I clear I hope to get the same doctor as well. SMH.

So if you’re medically cleared. When u go back is the paper work stating that you’re clear good enough? Or you’ll still need to take another sleep test?

I totally get it, just sucks. I’ll still send them a email than I’m going to show up In person. I’m not gonna just give up.
